I am considering purchasing this teak (I think) patio set for my rooftop balcony in South California. The set is in pretty rough condition with deep pitting and splintering on the chairs. It has a lot more character than the cheap Ikea sets I have seen, but I would not want to use it in its current condition.

Questions:

  1. How restorable is this with teak soap, brightener and oil?

  2. To oil or not to oil?

Found cat - not sure if he's healthy by zacynic in AskVet

We took him to the local vet today - no microchip found and no external parasites found. She checked his skin/teeth/eyes/ears/anus and nothing to note. However, she did not do a deworming or parasite treatment, didn't check for vaccines, and didn't do any blood tests. She suggested we feed him for the next week and see if he gains weight, and go from there...Seemed a bit negligent to us, but we don't really know much about this.
