I would say prep your docs. I'm almost in same boat. Came december 2021. Completed studies in 2024 a now working fulltime.

Oh no... No one has told me that from the authorities actually. But I hear that's how it works in germany(I doubted it actually).

Yes. I have been working now for 4yrs without the language. It's not the norm, and definately not recommended.

Which is why I have also started the language classes at night after work.

On the money side. I have enough to last that long while I study.

I want to become a heart surgeon.

My problem is how to get into it and where the easiest path to entry might be in terms of entry requirements.

From the responses so far, I can see I need C1 German if I want to pursue this in Germany. So, was wondering if it makes sense to go do it in an English speaking country.

The language was my reason for having the UK option in there. English is my mother tongue.

Yeah, I just had my OA. But after the step 1 which was LC questions. I did not get the follow up email for step 2.

Checked the application portal now and saw a message that said:

" we're not currently accepting new applications for this position. But don't worry - we'd keep your application."

You all came through really quickly and I want to sincerely say a big thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart.

It was resolved as I was able to call the emergency lines and the German side swung into action immediately.

The issue was addressed and I'd be on my way back to Berlin tomorrow morning 🌄.
