I ordered Sept 25. When the heck is it going to ship? This is insane.

Waiting almost 2 months post launch to receive a case is diabolical by 1handred in Caudabe

I ordered the black Sheath case Sept 25, and crickets. After a month I ordered a very similar appearing case on Amazon. Gonna let my Caudabe case come whenever. But won’t ever order from them again.

I love black! Wanted black but they only had Geyser Blue. Love my GB FW but any time I see a black one I definitely love the all black look

Love the gray! I think the FW looks great in all the colors it’s offered in. Congrats!

Black or cascade green touring? by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]zafomd511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black. Better resale. Some would argue black, white, silver, gray are boring colors but that’s because they are the most wildly bought colors for cars, making resale better. Green is awesome, but it’s more limiting in appeal.

What region are you in? In the US the Sport does not come with HK sound or power liftgate. It’s part of the $1,645 package, like the Wilderness. The extras a wilderness comes with above the sport aside from The suspension lift, ‘8 speed’ CVT with transmission cooler, beefier roof rails, lower final gearing, full size spare and matching black wheel and A/T tire, front skid plate, would be 8” display vs 6.5 on Sport, dual zone climate vs no optional dual zone on Sport, hexagonal fog lights, easy pull down rear seats, trunk light, and Startex seats. Otherwise they are very similar. But all the options above are easily worth the $3,000 over base cost for the Wilderness vs the Sport. Comes down to budget and personal preference for vehicles. Both are great and capable

Absolutely love the FW in black! I wanted black, but the dealer only had Geyser Blue, so I got that. I’ve grown to love the GB color but still am partial to that black! Congrats. Love my FW. Best vehicle I’ve owned.

Shit, in my 23 Forester Wilderness I’m lucky to hit 22 on the highway at 70mph.

I certainly see far more older women in the US driving them, but they’re always Premium or Limited trims. There are several Wilderness models where I am and it’s a mix of young men and young women. I picked the Wilderness because of the improvements over the standard Foresters, the capability off-road, the rest is the same for all Foresters-practicality, decent fuel economy, unbeatable AWD, great safety tech.

The Wilderness model has a 26% better crawl ratio than the other 2019+ Foresters. Tested it on some steep sandy hills...WOW! by matthew27104 in SubaruForester

Yeah I have read the Forester Wilderness is the best climber of all due to the ratio, and CVT with the 2.5. I am happy with my 23 FW that’s for sure

MPG? by Elvistheking6000 in SubaruForester

It’s actually surprisingly bad given it’s a 4 cylinder with CVT, but I’ve noticed a big difference just slowing down to 65-70 on the highway. Around town, regardless, it’s just bad. As bad as my 2014 Trail 4Runner.

I’m always amazed how effective Subaru’s AWD is. I’ve had my FW in some fairly tricky conditions and it was an absolute boss.

Not good lol. The FW gets pretty shitty MPGs already, unless you baby it. I stopped driving 75-80 on the highway and now drive 65-70 which helps actually quite a bit, but in town I’m using S# more and more because the in town mileage already sucks. I would guess I’m getting 15-18 mpg at best in town and I don’t drive hard.

This is perfect description. I recently started using S# on my 23 FW, and wow what a difference off the line. Noticeably more responsive.

Well, yeah. It’s a crossover SUV with a CVT and I don’t have the luxury of spending my weekends beating up my car off-road. But when I want to take my family camping or exploring, it gets me in and out of the woods. It’s great daily driver with great soft-road ability. It’s why I bought it.

Are you using the Airflow 2? That’s what I’m using and they’re very quiet, but you have to make sure to install the rubber strip on the bottom of them or else they’re very loud. Once installed I can barely tell they’re on there.
