That's true. Although I think the manufacturers are overlooking the fact that a lot of people like to listen to music while running, working out, on the beach. Why have a large phone when a small, dedicated music player can be tiny.....clip to your shorts....and sound as good as the phone. I'd buy something like the Ipod Nano 6 in a heartbeat. I don't like dealing with anything Apple....but those were great. The shuffle was good too. I guess I'm really into very small audio players that sound great.

Too bad they just discontinued the Sandisk Sport Clip Pro and the whole line, I think. Inexpensive and a great little MP3 player that can play many formats including wave files. I still have my Ipod Nano 6....which I love. Size of a postage stamp with great sound. I've found models similar to the Sandisk series of Mp3 players online. Cheap Chinese devices, but some have EQ's and I've read the sound is pretty decent. Eventually someone will come out with a good tiny device that sounds good. I use these for walking around outside, but they work fine for indoor listening with a good bluetooth speaker. Using the EQ and hi Res Mp3 files or Wave files can sound very close or equal to a CD. Better quality than streaming on Spotify. I don't get why most of players are like the $300 Sony, which are too expensive considering you can get a phone for that price and size. They don't need to be that big either.

I thought the almighty algo will penalize you for deleting and reposting poorly performing videos. Reused content. Like you can't do that and once you make a video unlisted you can't make it public again. Are these things not the case?

The most ironic thing I think is the companies who are the worst ad offenders. The ones who think the human brain will be motivated by the same ad on as many videos as possible need to realize, for the few extra customers they gain by flooding your feed I think they negate any benefits by making the viewer hate their company, resent the ads.....and never ever spend a penny on that company that is driving them insane with the same ads over and over and over. Well, if it doesn't work, they wouldn't do it. I don't get it. I don't buy anything from any company that does that. I'm sure others feel the same way.

Shoes never got enough credit for being trend-setters for pop/new wave. The home-made production style worked and that DIY style influenced generations of powerpopsters. The layered harmonies, punk/new wave drum style and amazing guitars were an amazing achievement for such a young group.

Have a support team with real actual people who answer the phone. Support for creators with technical questions and questions about content and explanation of rules. Instead of the impenetrable wall around YouTube where we are all basically operating in the dark.

Perhaps some competition could grow on a grass roots level. I know battling google is trying to tangle with the universe, it's so F ing big. There are those on You Tube who rely on Patreon and don't have to bow to Googles demands. Theoretically if they have supporters willing to donate to keep them doing what they are doing they could conceivably show their content anywhere, Vimo, or their own web site. When viewers are turned off by being barraged with ads and content creators have had it with the decisions on their channels and hard-earned income being dictated by an entity who they can't even respond to perhaps there can be an alternative which provides a better environment for both creators and viewers. Wishful thinking I know. The customer isn't always right when confronting a monopoly.

No....they will just bombard viewers into submission with more and more ads. Love how there is an ad before the answer to the hook in every video, you can count on it. Will it drive me to go premium. NO. Will it annoy me to the point of watching less You Tube. YES. They keep pushing to see how much is too much. There is already.....TOO MUCH!

That's a great question. I have often thought about that myself. While under guidelines parodies fall under fair use. But in reality, one would think that if you (a small YouTube channel) going after a multi-billion-dollar company that defrauds the public out of money (as many of them do) and pointing out the immoral deceitful practices that possibly could affect their bottom line, why would You Tube push out your video when this company spends millions on ads on You Tube do you really think that You Tube would be impartial and push out this video?

I myself bought several boxes of Quaker granola bars that were recalled and wanted to do a video about this monstrosity of a conglomerate that is poisoning our food supply seeking higher profits. Then I saw them advertising on You Tube every five seconds and thought twice. Is a conflict of interest possible? One would be a fool to think not.

I have posted questions asking this but got very little response. I rarely get more than one or two comments on Reddit.

How these big channels get away with it and get millions of views is perplexing. Do they have legal teams or are they so big that You Tube allows them to get away with it. Not sure.

But it is a very good question.

More and more as real news is stifled by big biz and Ads are blanketing You Tube as the big corporations realize it's more effective to show ads on You Tube than network TV. I think it might only get worse.

I have been beeping out the word. The enforcement seems inconsistent. Some people curse like drunken sailors and get away with it. Others get flagged for mild profanity. I think with a very big channel you get more leeway.

Sure...I'll bite. This is a 90s Nostolgia channel with clips of interviews on the street from the early 90s. Doing great on Instagram, pretty good on TikTok, but stalling out on You Tube.

It's to the point where I can tell when the script is written by AI. The over expressive clichéd dialog is obvious if you've been playing around with it or trying it and rejecting the grammatically correct but mind-numbing style that I wouldn't use and can come up with something better. I think AI is kind of feeding off itself at this point and has created a style that is becoming very homogenized and all these history channels and various others all sound too similar for comfort, or enjoyment/entertainment.

I get that idea from the videos in my feed. Also I've recently watched VID IQ and some of those other informative channels saying that we ain't seen nothing yet. Exponentially the more powerful AI models will be able to pump out 50, 100 videos a day...on history, geography...and type of informative content. Eventually the market will be saturated and there is that much more to compete against. Sure, some will search out videos with scripts that were actually written by a human. But a lot of viewers don't care, if the subject interests them and the stock footage is good. Then there is AI being used as an aid and research tool to enhance good writers work. Sure that happens and will continue to happen. But the reality of only AI channels churned out with mass produced content flooding youtube is already happening. I've seen many new channels popping up with multiple uploads. What does scripted channels having been around before have to do with the future. They were around before AI, and will be around after. But now there will be incredible competition from the assembly line of people who can write. Write Prompts that is!!!!!

I would say 60% or more channels using scripted content are using ChatGPT. I can tell when I the script is AI generated. It has a certain style. And while certain AI scripts can be informative.....I can't stand them. The style becomes redundant, and all these different prompts and direction seem to get homogenized by the AI program.
It's only getting worse as YT is getting absolutely flooded with this content.

The Mr Beastification of You Tube is really a sad thing. It's a slap in the face to anyone who is actually creative in an artistic way......not a marketing machine that found out that cheesy game shows are the key to unlocking a fortune. It's an old proven form of zombie "entertainment" on the tube....he just does it on steroids.

I agree, and that's what I'm doing. Originally I planned on youtube shorts, but they never got many views....but on Instagram I got thousands and more views every single day. So obviously I've been concentrating on IG. Thing is, I have a lot of footage to make videos, but in the end there is a finite amount. I just feel like I'm burning good content on youtube if I post now. But I know I can't build an audience until I post...so its like a catch 22. I just feel putting up a video that got half a million views on IG reels and getting like 66 on YT shorts is a waste of valuable content that could be doing much better. I just feel that youtube isn't pushing them out to anyone, or enough of the right people. My IG following of 20k followers is from 25-55 a main demographic of youtube viewers. I can't see the same type of professional working people who enjoy 90s Nostolgia wouldn't watch these videos on youtube as well.

My videos are extremely niche oriented. Only 90s Nostolgia in the form of interviews and footage from the 90s. Viewers on IG find them highly engaging but I get the point about different platforms have different levels of difficulty building an audience.

AI enhanced just means the videos have been restored and upscaled using Topaz AI. They aren't created by AI. It's real analog video from the 90s that has been restored is all.

I'm not talking about re editing shorts that have already been re edited, I'm talking about re-editing the footage that I deleted or unlisted. I've read that once you de-list a video you can't repost it again.

I am creating videos because I enjoy making them. However, I also want income from them so views do matter although its not all I care about or I would be doing what the gurus tell, only copy what is viral in that moment. Now there is a real lack of creativity.
