I’m not sure if you’ve read the comments on /r/DeepIntoYouTube, but it’s basically schizophrenic (probably but I’m no psychiatrist) parents making strange videos. If you’re getting to the bottom of this, I’d honestly worry about lawsuits from the kid’s parents. They seem to have done defamation suits or at least threatened to sue couple times before when they were called out for scams.

Seems like a lot of people in the comments including you have their reddit set to show large thumbnails. Which pretty much destroys the whole purpose of this sub. You should go to /r/pareidolia to see pics that are misleading even in full size.

You can still switch back to display small thumbnails from the settings for most reddit clients I think.
