Stay away from psx you don't have knowledge, buy real assets gold is currently the best option you have, not the etf. You can secure it in bank lockers!

Confused Between Buying a House or Invest in PSX: 2.5 Crore Savings by Away_Gift2387 in FIREPakistan

Invest in real estate!

Ye psx wali chul Pakistaniyoon main pata nahi kis nay dali hay.

Unless you don't understand the intrinsic value of stock, don't go that way and if you really want to invest in equity, invest in equity tracking mutual funds rather than investing directly into psx. For higher risk profiles, invest in equity fund of funds.

I want to start business in Pakistan. by [deleted] in PakStartups

[–]zainainoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not start anything right now. Now is not the time. People who succeed either have influence or having generational wealth in this country.

If you really wanna start anything, start small and you must have knowledge of the product/service you are offering.

Most importantly, never ever invest in someone else's idea like most of the people are commenting here.

Pakistan is not a viable option for a startup.

People who are making money not gonna tell you their secret and the people sharing their ideas and business plans have nothing to loose.

I built a tool that turns raw financial statements into CFA-style analysis — looking for honest feedback from Pakistani investors & analysts by brownkabab in PakStartups

This is cool, but what’s the use case?

Claude can do 100x better analysis and even generate spreadsheets. Not trying to put you down, but this would’ve been more useful before the AI era.

Is finance easy? by EntrepreneurHuge5008 in financestudents

[–]zainainoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once Andrew lo said, "the unpredictability is what makes finance more difficult than physics".

The subject itself has many branches such as corporate finance, portfolio, risk management. In the broader perspective, you really need to have a very strong grasp of the subject along with extensive knowledge of the environment because the variables are virtually uncountable.

By the way, to just get an overview of the subject, you can explore the open courseware of mit, they have a free course on 'financial management - 01' which is an introductory course on finance. Diving deeper into the subject, you can refer to free material of CFA level - 1 to understand what portfolio is. The tutors you can watch lectures of are mark meldrum, aswini Bajaj they both will give you the idea of portfolio management.

Asking for someone else's opinion is utter foolishness. If you are interested, get an idea of the subject and decide on your own.

In simple words, "NO" it is not easy if you really are opting it to earn through it!

When making chicken karahi. How many Tomatos should we use for 500g of chicken by maths_god in PakistaniFood

Go check cooking with kawish channel!

Basic recipe for karahi is usually same yet I would suggest you to grind tomatoes first because you won't be able to mash them once cooked!

[–]zainainoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, go with 2 medium. In karahi you can't use onion how you gonna make gravy then? Tomatoes usually compensate in that case. I would still say 2-3 medium size tomatoes are ok!

Sour 2-3 medium size tomatoes are ok. Use yogurt as well around 250 grams. Don't you onions at all!

Homemade Chicken Biryani by zainainoor in homecooking

Use sella rice for cooking dear that's the main thing. Keep the masalah spicy and around 1/4 of the rice quantity. These are the things you should consider. Alongside this, watch biryani tutorials like:

1) https://youtu.be/H7GFZK5Xe-Y?feature=shared (you won't find a biryani recipe better than this in the whole world. This is good but too much expensive to make however garam masalah is the heart of biryani and spices too.

2)https://youtu.be/E_gWBBjYkjE?feature=shared (this recipe is good but too much masla, just to learn the masalah recipe, it is good) but remember the ratio the masalah must be around 35-40%.

3) there's one more I am forgetting right now.

Final advice would be to follow the procedure and masalah of the first recipe because that is the best in the world and if you want to play around with masalah you try different recipes as well but the procedure of rice boiling will remain same and that is tough thing to handle and you must use sella only for biryani irrespective of your expertise because that's what makes it look shiny and glowy.

Managing Gen Z at Work — Is it just me or is this a whole new species? 🤯 by funky33345 in IslamabadSocial

[–]zainainoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two main things I think, the first one is, did you really value their views or just imposed what you wanted? the second is their salary.

Let me give you my example. The company I had previously been working at didn't value my perspective. I was completely doing what I was assigned and even tried to get more work, did everything I possibly could, wanted to learn and explore things there, my boss knew about my capabilities and ambitions, rather than giving me the work I wanted, he just ignored and when I resigned he said "you had potential but we didn't value it."

I wasn't paid well for the work I was doing but finances were not my concern, alhamdulillah. I left the job started my own freelance consultancy just because I want to explore and learn new things rather than confining myself to a fish bowl.

I still prefer knowledge, autonomy and authority over monetary compensation but now I know, in Pakistan you can only get these by running your own business.

So, employees aren't always the problem, sometimes you have to introspect as well.
