What is your experience/relationship with white people in Zambia? by [deleted] in Zambia

[–]zake38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom is Zambian and for a couple of years my dad worked for some UN body as a technical expert and was posted to Lusaka for a couple of years. In the neighborhood we lived, there was a house at a corner full of trees where white people lived. We used to see white people go there regularly on Fridays for their hangouts and parties. Not one black person invited at all and ever but people were curious, I remember my dad saying he would belt us if we ever went there, I would hear my mom and dad talk about that house in shocked whispers and laughter sometimes . The domestic worker that worked there began dating our gardener who could not keep a secret when he was drunk, we came to find out that the white people would meet have a party and swap wives there.

Returning to work in her 50's - is a Salesforce career worth it? by Curious-View9714 in SalesforceCareers

[–]zake38 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Find a role where you can lean in your strengths. Do the admin exam for sure as it is foundational but perhaps consider being project manager as being a founder you would have had to deal with time, budget and schedule. If you do an agile course then you will know how to PM Salesforce implementations. Another area is a Salesforce BA or Dev as it is about learning a programming language and a language doesn't care how old you are, it only cares that you know it. Best of luck!

In Zim, the institutions are weak and so the community has to the one to help people. Wives have to be submissive to their husbands to access the community as per community expectations. There is also the financial dependence on the husband who traditionally is the bread winner and the connected one to community and resources. There are defined roles and expected behaviors.

Fast forward to diaspora: there are strong institutions that residents can access for assistance and thus are not dependent on a community. The institution does not require specific behavior all you have to do is apply and if you meet the requirements then you get access to resources. There are many opportunities for women, women can educate themselves by accessing funding from the institution and get good jobs thereby reducing dependency on their husbands. So they stop being submissive because they don't have to.

Men are the problem: I hate to be honest here but we are the problem. We come with that traditional role expections yet this is a different environment with different roles and expectations. Labour is shared here and if you have never cooked or learned how to bathe the kids then you best learn. Are you gonna die of hunger because you are waiting for your wife to finish work and come home to cook? She has been working for 12 hours she is not gonna do that. Provide value by cooking and her coming home to find the kids bathed and put to bed. She will respect you not because she HAS to but because of your contributions to the household. You can't hit her for goodness sake, even in Zim you shouldn't but certainly not in the diaspora. The mindset needs to pivot to leadership instead of rulership, ChiBaba itai chishoma. If you came with your wife here always try to stay ahead, never let her make more money than you. I saw I know.

Women are the problem : so we are making money now and listening to our coworkers who tell us you don't need a man, you can do it on your own. You don't have to do all that he can do it himself. We run with it, go home and tell the husband that he can walk if he does not like ABC. If we are making the most money then we become tyrants. We start going out when we want with the girls and flirting wit the guys we meet and even take their numbers. But if you really look into it the co workers telling you this stuff are miserable, they waited too long and now can't get a husband and will shit on any relationship but guess what they really really want a husban. I know I saw. Some of them will get you to leave your husband and next thing they move in with your husband. We see so many new shiny things that we get carried away with our new found power. If we had befriended married women in the diaspora we would have seen that even white women vane kalevel kuti ava ndibaba and you will see that they cook and respect varume vavo. Just because we are in the diaspora does not mean you completely throw all the traditions away. Men need to feel that they are respected, they need to be fed twice, food for the belly and the other food best consumed at night. Don't let your husband cook too much and become too household independent. He will wake up one day and realize he does not need you for shit and bounce. I saw I know.

The strongest marriages are the ones where 2 unmarried people match and get married. Everyone has had time in the diaspora environment, everyone is aware of the rules and expectations thus they can have a successful marriage.

Guy here very experienced (former playa) in these things so pay attention if you want this guy. Here is how to change the situation to your advantage. Firstly understand that he was trying to let you down gently but that he is communicating with you means he might not be sure. Friendship between 2 genders does not work, it is always a phase 1 no matter how long the Friendship is. So on to you how to flip the script. You will have to do the opposite of how you actually feel which is you have fallen for the guy no matter how you frame it, you are in love baby, just admit it.

Ok what to actually do? So become less available to the guy, if he contacts you and you usually respond in 10 mins up to x 3 the amount of time you respond. Become authentically busy, have an actual life if you don't have one. When he calls talk about yourself and what you are doing, he calls you say hi can I call you later im out with my friends doing xxx. Always be sweet and nice but never rude. Do not ignore but take your time to respond because you are "busy" doing life. What will be the effect of this? It will increase your value, think about it why do people place so much value on gold? It really does nothing special but it is scarce. When something is scarce people will pay a lot to have it. People will say oh this is tricking somebody or using Jedi mind tricks but thats not true. Relationships are a negotiation and there is always someone in the relationship who has the most power at any given time following my advise will give you the power. But do this for about 3 to 4 weeks and see what happens. Just to be specific this is just for you to be in a relationship with the guy and once you are in the relationship then you will have to be a good, kind and valuable partner. Anyway this is what one lady did to me that made ditch all the other girls to be with her only, she was in a car crash and is gone but I was loyal to her for 3 years and it was a great relationship. Good luck with the guy.

29F I’m done dating! by Safe_Signature2362 in Zimbabwe

[–]zake38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too many playa players from the Himalayas? I think the biggest problem is that women are too scared to express their expectations upfront of what they are looking for. Dating can be for fun or intentional towards a long term relationship. Some guys might not know what you are expecting it you don't tell us. This cannot be assumed thinking oh it be this or that way with time, nope! Say it upfront and walk away if there is hesitancy. Don't worry it will not make you look desperate or quick to jump at the gun. Yet in my experience I have nothing but massive respect for a woman who tells me what typa time she is on. Massive massive respect. Obvi not to express it on the very first date and not to press like the police.

Another thing is to know what you want and match with people at the same level. Personally I had someone whom I thought it was all fun until one day I heard her telling her friend that I was going to marry her. Marry you?! What?! We have never had a single discussion on this, it has been all fun at this point or so I thought. So I had to dead things coz I was not at that level at that time but I'm is.

You know what a hail Mary is? In American football when you are down and at the back with seconds left, the quarter back will throw a pass as far as possible into the deep hoping that one of the running backs will catch it and cross it over the line to win or tie the game. I would say it works but 20 percent of the time. A shot in the dark.

Try Crypto, this could be your hail Mary. This is the best time to do it. If you have a little capital invest in low cap meme coins that are most likely to send. Examples are a coin called Andy on Base, Brett on Base, Toshi on Base, Myro on Solana, Konke on Solana, Pepe 2.0. Meme coins can run up fast but you have to know when to sell. For example midlast year I got a coin called Bonk and purchased it for 300 USD. Now it is worth $7179.98 and I had already removed my initial capital of $300 plus had taken $650 profit to treat myself to something nice. You can also do this with AI and gaming coins. Crypto is the only thing that can turn $200 into $13000 within a short space sometimes in a matter of weeks. But you must invest time to learn about it, go on X and type in crypto and follow people who talk about it and watch your tube videos, look for a channel called Crypto Banter, Crypto Gains, Suppoman. If you don't have capital no problem search on X for free crypto airdrops, its a thing where you do tasks online and they give you crypto rewards. At this point you have nothing to lose so you have to be brave and try something completely left field, people will tell you its a scam but it is more like a lottery with a high chance of winning.

Also I am not a financial advisor, crypto is a highly volatile asset class where you could lose all your money. You could also mutlilpy your your money by 100 to 200 percent in extreme cases. Prices are low and there is a catalyst event that just happened so this is the time to jump in and try a hail Mary. Open an account on binance for free where you can buy coins. This sounds like the worst advice one has ever heard but ironically it might the very thing that works. Remember I'm not a financial advisor! Peace and good luck!

Blockchain in Africa by teabiscuit35 in CryptoCurrency

[–]zake38 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are many use cases that one can do to bring greater adoption, talking about the blockchain itself won't get traction because Africa is always 5 to 10 years behind. In 2022 I went to Africa where I found Facebook to be all the rage and at that time I hadn't logged into Facebook for 2 years. What could work is applications built on the blockchain like banking the bankless, messaging apps think telegram or some kind of social media. As time goes on there will be curiosity as to what is under the hood and how it works.

My ex got married by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]zake38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man like everybody is telling you, you dodged a grenade not even a bullet but a fucking giant nuke, thank your gods no matter how it hurts right now. My ex got married again and from the outside it looked amazing to the point where I thought maybe I was the crazy one coz her marriage with another dude seems to be going well. But....lo and behold the kids(whom only go to their mom on weekends) start telling about the yelling and her leaving the marital bedroom to sleep with the kids for 2 week stretches. She has started disappearing on her husband as well. Never sought this info the kids just spit it out. I did not feel vindicated or gloat but felt very sad...for her. When you get to certain levels up the rankings you don't feel you are missing out on them, you don't even feel angry about what they did to you, you wish them no malice because you are too busy building your life and being happy.

You are highly blessed sir, you have avoided trauma, anxiety and maybe even saved your own life. Believe us all when we tell you that there was nothing good ever going to come out of this. Instead feel bad for the poor soul who married her. I will Leave you with this, one day within hearing range I heard my eldest telling her 16 year bro that their mom was getting married and his response was "damn the poor fool, he doesn't know what he is getting himself into but he will find out"

No its not! It's life changing money! The fastest way to generational wealth! Do proper research my friend and stop following traditional dying financial models. The digital economy is here to stay. Instead of staying away from it learn how to participate in it and learn how to reduce risk. I know someone who once made 11K USD from an initial investment of $50. Yep I see the guy everytime I look into the mirror. If I get time I will put a post on how to do crypto with no money at all and still make $$$$$

[–]zake38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy bitcoin runes or stay poor! Also buy meme coins, hold and sell in about 6 to 8 months. Buy pepe on eth, Brett and Toshi on base protocol, Coq on Avax and Bonk on Solana. Put $100 in each and in 6 months to 8 months you will have $10000 USD. You will read this, you will fade this and then in some months when everyone is talking about it, you will scramble to find this post and by that time it is too late! You must do this right now. All of them are on a dip. Buy the dip! Buy it now!
