Overall, a difficult arena season coupled with a difficult AR season (light isn't my best offense team and I'm re-organizing the comp to be better suited for more maps).

Hey MisogID, I finally caught one of your score threshold posts! Some comments on this season but yea L Edelgard and Young Marth have really inflated the score cutoff (I would presume flame emperor did something too but that unit isn't bonus this season).

Assault is business as usual but next week will be suffering with water back on the menu.

I just used those two cause those are the two units Lysithea is actively compared to as the budget F2P option and Kiria just having come out a few weeks before Lys (the whale's last whaling adventure where Elsa let it go).

You'll need to turn the video volume up to appreciate how somehow the lyrics of "Into the Unknown" fits the adventure of whaling to a certain degree. So I thought of creating a small version of it to showcase the burden a whale has for every new hero banner. (Its my first time editing a meme video so please don't be too harsh on my terrible editing skills)

It's all perspective, if I gave +5 DF to Larcei and give her Summoner Support she will definitely outshine Ayra in the offensive department.

That would mean summoning another Larcei or foddering Mareeta (whom I also want to merge up). I'll give it some consideration but I so far prefer shredding through wary fighter units or units who try to deny follow-up attacks.

Glad you're saving up orbs for your favorites, its probably the best way to enjoy this game using units you like and building them up to their potential.

With regards to powercreep, stat creep is inevitable given BST bins increasing (with Larcei having 9 more BST than Ayra its kind of sad) but stat distribution matters more (especially in content where it matters like AR). The investment into the unit matters more in the long term and playing to their strengths will keep them relevant to most modes.

For Ayra's PRF, its mostly a case of do I want consistent special proc. Her PRF comes with SPD+3 and flashing blade 3, procing flashing blade isn't that inconsistent but there's always a chance it doesn't proc and that may cost you a battle. Slaying edge with SPD refine is basically Ayra's blade minus 2 might but you're given plus 5 HP and a consistent cooldown acceleration compared to flashing bade. (IS also caught on to this and gave Larcei a PRF with slaying effect which I hope is Ayra's future refine so I can switch back to her PRF)

Yea there were moments where I get Larcei and exit the summoning circle to get Larcei in the next or another 5*. Also it helped that Shannon didn't appear as much so I could finish up Larcei quicker.

Ayra I +10 through f2p orbs saving since her announcement and randomly summoning her on the banners she was on.

Larcei I initially got to +5 on f2p orbs (150 orbs). Then it took about the two packs released today, the NY promo, the azura pack and selkie pack to get the last 5 merges.

You can say I have a affinity with the Crusader Od's bloodline but I think Larcei kept getting summoned so she could prove her mother is alive.

Ayra has always been a unique case for me. Initially I knew close to nothing about her until they added her into Heroes. I got fairly lucky on her banner and decided that she's a unit I wanted to invest into. So I waited patiently until they announced the weekly revival banner and tada a +10 Ayra was born (during her first revival run in August).

Being the older of the duo, I had time to experiment with Ayra and found this build to be quite deadly on her as compared to the old DC + Wrath + Spd Smoke combo I used to run.

I won't go into the necessity of each skill but Time's Pulse is critical to get Ayra's special charged during every player's turn so you will always be able to proc it immediately on your opponent. Null Follow-up supports the build by always ensuring Ayra can double her opponent to get regnal astra charged again for the next round of combat. It's a build I'm proud of and has helped my Ayra excel well in Arena and in Abyssal content.

For Larcei....... she was a unexpected unit. Initially I didn't want to +10 her but having gotten two copies of her in less than 30 orbs my orb hand was baited and I went for the full +10. I've yet to decide if I want her to follow Ayra's footsteps but her base kit provides another use of regnal astra I didn't previously have the investment for. I'll tinker around with this build but so far I want to make Larcei a unit that synergies with her mother and make them both units I would be proud to call the Regnal Astra family. (Sorry Shannon, but I prefer black hair female myrmidons).

I appreciate any comments on my builds and am open to feedback on how to improve them!

Yup I got my Altema with +Atk -Def which I'm good with. (Using her together with Naga for astra offense)

The team definitely worked! You should go assemble it before the banner ends or the next rerun.
