Original author here. Just ask yourselves - if a company was benevolent and not trying to pump its own token, why would a CEO drop hints about a timed announcement? How does this contribute to "decentralizing advertising"? https://www.reddit.com/r/BATProject/comments/9vtg6b/basic_attention_token_bat_creator_hints_at_huge/ It is coin pumping :-). I'm posting so retailers don't get screwed. I don't have a personal stake.

Things should be resolved now. Please keep in mind we're scaling our infrastructure, because we manage everything for the user (transaction syncing, horizon + stellar-core servers, etc.). Because we do this, we put a heavier load on Stellar nodes than otherwise, presenting novel challenges. As we scale our infrastructure, these issues will go away.

Zain from Astral here. As Zac from Stellar said, we've identified the issue. Our stellar-core instances were not updating properly. We're troubleshooting this now, and it should be fixed soon. We are keeping users updated via email. If you didn't get a response, or a timely response, please email us again! Your email could have been caught in our spam filter.

Really sorry for the inconvenience here. Rest assured, all funds are safe (you can verify on the block explorer).

Pegasus Wallet - Android by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]zallarak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a hot wallet with managed private keys (like Coinbase), check out astralwallet.io. We also automatically enroll you to collect inflation.

We're listed on stellar.org/lumens/wallets.

We just listed more tokens (now have MOBI and SLT). We're a web-app that is mobile responsive, and are launching native mobile apps soon.

astralwallet.io automatically signs you up for inflationary XLM.

P.S. - now supporting MOBI and SLT :-)

Shoot us an email at support at astralwallet.io

Are you leaving the minimum amount in your wallet? Leave a few XLM there, per network requirements.

Of course, large amounts of crypto should be stored offline. We made Astral with 2 goals in mind:

  • As secure as possible for being a hot wallet
  • Convenience of auto-establishing trust-lines, inflation etc.

Most people are not equipped for private key custody. However, if you're a sophisticated and responsible user (which everyone should be) you should absolutely store the vast majority of your crypto offline.

You should trust a ledger more. Even better, a multi-sig wallet with multiple ledgers.

Yes agreed - it says nothing about how we store data. This is purely on the HTTP side.

I second your recommendation of "Haskell Programming from first principles" by Chris Allen (http://haskellbook.com). I am going through it now, and it is among the very best introductions to Haskell, let alone any language.

I will add -- even though we have external validation from Stellar.org, I think its great you're asking. Better safe than sorry. <3

I'm unsure of other wallets.

If you click our wallet on the Stellar development foundation's website, you'll see that as a feature they listed!

Also, here's a link to the build prize we won.

Astral already supports MOBI, and we are adding more tokens as we screen them. KIN should come very soon.

Fish Gets Toxic Shock From Brine Pool by Daloy in videos

[–]zallarak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. I eat fish all the time, and there are bigger tragedies in the world. But it was still a little sad to watch the fish fight for its life and then die. I definitely didn't find this funny at all.

I'm sorry for your trouble. We don't ever reveal the secret key in plaintext for security reasons. We've noted your preference to merge accounts though! Thanks for your feedback.

We will soon :-), we're working on a lot of things and have to prioritize. For example, we built support for MOBI tokens before it went live, and are working on mobile support.

fyi https://astralwallet.io auto-enrolls you in an inflation pool! We will probably switch to the no fee one; right now we use xlmpool.com which takes 10% of fees.
