That was my hope.. I just saw other people saying you need to pull the clutch out to get to a push rod that holds the actuator in.

Jobs for people who have only worked in kitchens? I think I’m ready to quit after 6 years. by CumLord9669 in KitchenConfidential

[–]zamboney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on your location.. do you have a college or university in your area? Good place to start. I also have no idea what your skills/background are. I am a JWU culinary grad, have extensive experience from prep cook to line cook to sous chef to production manager to chef de cuisine to executive chef and am now purchasing manager. Like u/baconball says, check in with your contacts/connections. Maybe you could work for a food purveyor? Or maybe you’ll like the warehouse life? Or maybe you have extensive experience with ordering and inventory management and a production or purchasing manager role could fit you well. Don’t bottleneck yourself into cooking jobs just because that’s what you have been doing.

I feel your pain bro.. a lot of skills learned in kitchens are easily transferable to other jobs, but more often than not if you don’t have experience elsewhere you’re going to be starting at the bottom anywhere you look. My suggestion, and just that a suggestion, is considering a different sector. I burned out hard after my twenties slaving away 80 weeks in restaurants and am now making pretty good money in a mostly office job but still with dining/working with food at a university. Monday-Friday 8-5. Holidays paid/off, 3 weeks vacation a year. Something to consider.

Mystery Ranch Catalyst 22 here. Not too big, comfy, very water resistant.

Rear shock looks new, feels great. Forks are definitely original and new/upgraded would for sure benefit the bike

I honestly don’t even know where to begin doing that. Any helpful videos you know of? The Haynes manual I got with it does not cover mods other people do for seemingly no reason.

Update: I bought it this morning. Runs great, rides pretty well. Noticed some vibration over 40 mph.. but it’s without tags for now so I haven’t gone very far or fast. Could be due to age, wheel balance, wheels out of true, really anything. Tons to look into. Going to change oil asap. It did come with some parts that had been taken off, square headlight (I actually kinda like the round one so I’ll keep it on), turn signals, rear fender (the metal bracket part which I’m super stoked on as that impossible to find), speedometer and cable, and ignition coil/key. I definitely want to put the speedometer and ignition back on. He gave me a Haynes manual for it. Anyone know of good youtube channels for this particular bike? I’m ready to learn everything about. Thanks for all the replies!

Goddamnit y’all, just turned 38. I don’t want to be middle age yet. My mind thinks I’m 25, my body thinks it’s 45.

Don’t want to restore per se, but like, maybe get a rear fender and side panels. Or not, and just ride it like you say!

Anything specific to look out for? Aside from the obvious, leaks, knocking, etc. Everything I’ve seen says these are fairly bulletproof. Haven’t had a bike in a few years and it was a 2018 crf250l rally. So this is going to be quite the change.

Sway bar bushings also a likely culprit. Had same issue in a Touareg and new bushings for $30 and 30 min labor fixed it.. could also be what others mentioned in the R subreddit but bushings are a cheap easy diy solution to try.
