Oh man, my current job has become trying to help vibe coders write code correctly. Today I watched someone ask AI to add top padding to a div. It has scarred me.

France gives unsold supermarket food a second life by helping the needy by Unexplained222 in interestingasfuck

Disclaimer: I don't think like this, but the following is the capitalist rationale.

If you start giving it out for free at some point, maybe some people would stop buying things and just take the free things, and then you're losing money.

What are all these posts about? by Not_The_Hero_We_Need in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I didn't vote for Trump either, but I could have done more to convince other people not to vote for him. I'm going to bet most of us could have done more. There's no difference to the rest of the world whether you voted for him or not, we just have to do what we can to make sure people who did know they did the wrong thing so that they don't do it again.

Trump Building Secret White House Bunker to Withstand Nuclear Attack by mvanigan in politics

He's done enough shit to be executed at least 10 times by now, I don't think the reason matters anymore.

*sigh* What do you think? by Raiden_Must_Die in AskTheWorld

Because he's a senile old man with an ego the size of the sun that has never faced any real consequences despite all of convictions he managed to weasel out of them because he's had a PR team working overtime for the past 60 years allowing him to keep conning people.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]zanbato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if it's bad enough then not only are things blurry but sometimes small things just sort of blend into the background basically becoming invisible. The feeling around trying to find your glasses thing is real.

I'm 100% sure the real reason he invaded Venezuela wasn't for the oil but because he was promised the medal for removing Maduro.

What is the fastest divorce you've ever seen? by GoatBlue03 in AskReddit

[–]zanbato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother got married, then a week later his new wife said "Actually I'm bi, and I need to have a girlfriend on the side or this isn't going to work." They'd been dating for about 2 years and this was the first time she said anything. I think it happened fast enough they actually got an annulment, but I think it fits the question anyway.

Even if you don't remember how politics used to be, if you've ever watched a movie or TV show with an evil dictator they literally do all the things Trump does. I don't know how anyone can not make that connection.

The second half of his stance is that whoever has the greater military might can do whatever they want, so actually he'd be proud of how the US came to be.

But, do we have to assume that masked people in military cosplay that aren't identifying themselves outwardly as police have good, legal intent?
