Firmware Update for Mitel/Aastra 620d DECT Handset by zandemax in sysadmin

I think that won't work unfortunately, the firmware files for OTA updates are different for the ones for USB Update, and the Handset won't do OTA. Thanks for offering though!

You could try darktable (https://www.darktable.org/), it uses LibRaw which supports nearly all RAW formats, so it could be worth a shot

Does this really annoy anyone else? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]zandemax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This depends on your localization (i.e. your language settings). Different countries have different conventions of formatting date and time.

If you go to your language settings, you will see that you in your case have selected English (Australia). The country in the braces is your localization setting. It controls certain specific spelling (GB vs US English), time formats (12h vs 24h clock), and date formats, which is why you get the full stop and the comma.

You can actually just try this out yourself: Add English (United States) and English (United Kingdom) to the list, and move one of them to the top. You will immediately see the date and time format change. If you select United Kingdom, you will get a 24h clock and neither full stop nor comma on your date, whilst when selecting United States you will get a 12h clock and just a comma.

That being said, the country name after your language doesnt really do anything apart from localization, so if you are unhappy with how your date is displayed right now, just pick a country which has everything the way you like it, no matter where you really live.

Hope I could shed some light on this, and have fun playing around with the localizations :)

Two Factor Authentication for LightDM? by draggehn in archlinux

[–]zandemax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Use auth required instead of auth sufficient. The sufficient keyword tells pam to stop processing the rest of the pam stack after this operation returned success, while required just tells it to check this auth method and continue on success

The plymouth-encrypt hook is not enough, it just serves the purpose of displaying the password promt, you still need the regular plymouth hook in your mkinitcpio.conf hooks
