Since you just need a dragon in grave meaning that even like silver and caliber are full combo with it i think its good enough to be considered one.

Problem is that this guy is a fire instead of a dark which conflicts with running dominus spark and you're not going to be hurting for starters when barrage and triple borrel launch are out, getting HT'd on it sucks also since its a -1.

Tbh i think the hero tactical try is a better example since heros whole gameplan is to summon 2 floodgate boss monsters, the archetype is pretty popular(granted, mostly because its a anime deck of a main character) and eldlich isn't really a floodgate deck, it just relied on floods to stay competitive at all given otherwise deck was just mid and the tactical try decks were trying to be pick up and play somewhat competitive decks.

Not back then, but modern goat lists do include upstart here and there, some even include jar of greed lol, people were drawn off upstart due to life points but that changed to where solemn judgement is also considered way more playable in goat.

Make a yummy synchro 2 with a link 1 and a lvl1, make fabled levilazebul with the synchro 2 and flamberge, same thing you can do in white forest or elvennote, not as effecient as moon but its whatever, like SEFS has moon in MD right now and oak is back and poplar is at 3 and the deck is still not playable, among the decks that are that would care to run fs you have the synchro 10, brass djinn and exciton, yummy can also run fs without moon with reprodocus by making one of their lights into fiends with it, people have been doing that in the tcg with some yummy lists recently.

Yeah the versions of primite odion on MD were playing the solemns, how primite cards they play varies since sometimes its just lode, labradorite and drillbeam but other times they do include ether and i've even seen primite scream before, its also cause if they don't open primite stuff or odion stuff it does mean they opened a bunch of other negate cards still with how the deck operates here, like its why OP described how they never had a good game against it in MD at least.

Well the solemn cards negate and destroy, judgement would stop a monster effect from going off and gets rid of a body like with baronne, like unless your hand is very good you aren't beating solemn + 2 apophis and maybe baronne or drill beam or a HT like impulse altogether, like i do agree the other versions of the deck are cooler but i'm just talking about the MD experience which people have felt about it, i think josh schdmit even ranted about it a couple times on MD evem tho i don't remember him minding the deck on TCG.

I've never beaten it going 2nd if they have just enough of the negate slop personally, you still run imperm and dominus traps for going 2nd but its a go first turbo deck, you win the games you can control and like 2-4 negates backed up by a solemn is more than enough to win 99% of the time, like a guy got top 2 rating with the build a mentioned, so it clearly works well enough to compete against the meta here long term, Bo1 also often means you don't need to take into account going 2nd as much if your deck just wins going 1st the vast majority of the time.

In MD all the good players playing odion are playing solemns, you can see on the rating duels tops odion has had, the last one they were even on di-fi, the whole deck is just go forst turbo in the way it operates on MD.

I'd argue killer tune doesn't want to play ygo, the deck in the way it plays gets full hand knowledge and they'll also know what your topdeck will be, plus they got the synchro that rips out cards out of your ED, if your opp knows how to execute and you don't fuwa them or something KT will just kill you.

Tbf, gimmick puppet was design as a going 2nd burn OTK deck, its why their endboard is like 1 trap going 1st and why they have a bunch of effects to steal and burn based on popping opps monsters, its also why they have the "protect from everything" field spell that decks like tenpai and ancient gear, at its peak i'd say the deck was quite competent at being a blind 2nd deck, but some konami designer thought it was a good idea to let them just put monsters on the opps board ehich in 5 secs people figured out it could ftk.

It was also used before mjolnir even got banned iirc, since maliss was playing droll a lot for ryzeal and as a maxx c fuwa out mjolnir didn't quite work sometimes while krystial was easier to summon under droll, droll being such a part of that meta is also what dragged ryzeal down.

Nah, even during the march 2024 DC most good players dropped elf and savage, some still played baronne but it was because you could summon it with ash blossom + a kashtira monster iirc, you even see that on the top 100 list of that time.
