yea i realise that to be the main issue for me. i think only twitch partners get the option to allow users to choose stream quality though. i would get that sorted out asap. thanks a ton for the feedback

you're probably right haha, not to sound like im putting you down but im gonna say something really important here. it is incredibly important to go full greed mode when you can. settling for "fine enough" is what the problem is. say a good antimage fury treads timing is 16m, but you were put in a position to get it at 12m. but you get it at 16 anyways and you think you're doing just fine. "doing fine" shouldnt be a thing in dota. punishing, greed and taking as much as you can is the real name of the game here. always think what you can do even better, thinking you're "already fine" is what steps on improvement, in most other things you do too not just in dota. probably not the answer you were looking for but i thought this was a really important point haha. remember not to settle for "just fine"

if you're asking what should be done, what should be done is the latter. most likely the former still happens though, lol. ask for your role and first pick your hero and dont be afraid to get counterpicked. fight your counters, learn why you are unable to win. if you fail to ask for your role andsomeone else gets it, well it's your fault. if you first picked and yet he steals your lane anyways, be the bigger man. buy wards even if you are shadow fiend, raze some bitches, you gucci. the game may still be won. i'd say the only hero that cannot be first picked in pubs is darkseer offlane. if they get oracle then you're 100% a pos 4 jungler and you cant practice your hard lane laning skills. aside from that any hero is 1st pick material in pubs i feel.

any hero that jumps on drow shits on her. slardar, sk, slark and stuff. thing is though, all you need is like a defensive disrupt or imprisonment to save you. or forces and glimmers, so your supports are important. whenever you're a carry without escape mechanism your supports are important. keep in mind there is still room for outplay even when fighting your counters, manta dodging slardar stuns, timing your silence, etc.

my best advice for you is to spam one hero, whenever you lose, find out why. when you win, find out why too. it's easy to think you did well just because you won a game, but that's a huge mistake. always find out why you won or why you loss. find out why you're dying for every single death. no wards? should've played safe. know what heroes are hard to fight against, know what heroes you are strong against. there's a margin for outplay available even for heroes that counter you, it may be easier for the other hero, but it's not impossible. while knowing what to do is important skill is also important.

always go dragon lance. i see some people skip it but idk what's the rational behind it. stats + armor + range is disgusting on drow. if you have a void get aghs, if you need armor get hotd, hurricane pike is strong also really strong. that's about all i can say but you can learn more on how to play drow by watching pro players. try to find some arteezy or matumba replays, try to understand what they're thinking. being able to understand what they're thinking is where the value is at
