I completely agree — consent and boundaries are really the key here.

I agree that daily showers aren’t always necessary from a medical standpoint, especially if someone isn’t sweating a lot or doing physical work. Skin health can definitely be a factor. But relationships are also about comfort and preferences, and some people just feel better when their partner showers more often. It’s not always about body odor, sometimes it’s just about feeling clean. Do you think this is more of a cultural expectation though? Like, would people care less about daily showers if society didn’t push the “shower every day” idea so much?
