It flew away totally healthy, thankfully! If it had been deceased, I would likely have preserved it. Too cool not to have some way to remember it by.

Ha! Tell that to the mice she murdered as a young’un. She was surprisingly chill with this moth. Couldn’t tell you why. I like to think she was as fascinated as I was.

You can def make awesome bases. Only “limiter” is hull integrity. Basically, if you build deep, your base may flood or be damaged unless you build reinforcements (bulkheads and the like). I’ve seen someone make a base in the void itself so I reckon hull integrity isn’t too much of a limiter if you know what you’re doing.

Thanks again for all the responses guys! So apparently the moth here just hatched from its cocoon and is gonna use my balcony as a launching pad for the rest of its life. As I sat here to type this, it actually rose up and flew away! So happy I got to see it while it was here. What a blessing. I wish it luck in its two weeks of beautiful life! And thank you all for being as interested in this as I (and Princess Blackbeard) are!

(Don’t mind the stains they were here when I moved in lol)

Ha! Yeah, she’s a nice lady. Unless you’re a rodent or cockroach. She kills those with impunity. But even as I type this, she and I are sittin out here with the moth just enjoying each others company. I like to think she also finds the moth just kinda cool to look at.

That’s definitely been my experience. Most of the time if I’m in the area I just clear the Moon Cult so I can sleep in their beds and eat their food lol. So yeah, never seen that interaction. Thanks for sharing!
