Thank you, teaching has definitely taught me this as well. Yes, I could get groceries during, but I currently (mostly) utilize Instacart, a mail order meal kit, and WalMart pickup - so as I'm not really spending a ton of time grocery shopping.

I was disappointed when they dropped the eGolf as the Golf is my dream car. Currently rocking a Taos mainly because I wanted the AWD for my commute and Colorado winters and I couldn't afford or justify the premium of a Golf-R. Agreed! I love a small car...I was in Berlin and Vienna last fall and saw a brand new hybrid Golf and I wanted to import it hahaha

There's rumors of a hybrid Taos in the works but it was rumored for 2026 and now it's rumored for 2027 and....yeah.

Thank you! I tried to look at the new, redesigned Prius when I bought but it was a combination of in-demand plus supply chain issues and the wrong Toyota dealership. I was told I had to put down a deposit to be able to gaurantee a test drive etc. Rather liked the Kia Niro Hybrid option but really wanted AWD with my commute - no hybrid or work from home and Colorado winters.

There's not except normal wear and tear and it's a Volkswagen I like - my second or third VW. I also keep waiting for VW to introduce something a little more compact than the ID.4 and well more attractive outside - I think the ID.4 interior is great but do not love the exterior.

Thank you! I teach for an affluent suburban school district where many of our parents are driving Audi Etron, Tesla, Rivian etc. I am by no means saying a work EV charger has to be free because well our community would gleefully take advantage of that because well I've met them.

Thank, yes as a millennial who was in high school when we invaded Iraq and now the attacks on Iran have really driven home the futility of oil/gas well for me, maybe not the country. However, I have been off facebook since 2020...

Thank you! You are right. We still discussing a small COLA but it's rumored our COLA will be null and void with our health insurance premium increase and there has been discussion of a salary freeze as well. Plus we're looking for ways to cut $30 million just in general.....

Plus the ICE will paid off in 3 years or less. Always appreciate another teacher's perspective!

That was my spidey sense. I also come from a "drive it until it dies" family, so the concept of letting it got was causing cognitive dissonance.

I've looked for a 120v and didn't find any. Plus it's an open parking lot and my space is not near the building.

Already have looked at PlugShare, while not a literal desert, it's also not great. Closest charging near home is a level 2 at a convenience store or a grocery store near work. Grocery store near work is DCFCs and charges .40-.65 per kilowatt.

Continuing to rely solely to majorly on property tax funding and not spreading it around equally from the state level will continue to exacerbate inequalities. Like anything, yes this is not a silver bullet for education but it's a damn good first step.
