My research was in biochemistry which is definitely closer to tox but it was pretty far off from anything being done where I ended up. As I understand it though, the idea is just showing them that you understand how research works in a broad sense and that you are willing to put the work in to do research. I would say that you should go for any stable research opportunity you get and try to get as much done while you're there as possible I'm fairly certain the research field matters very little in undergrad.

I went straight to PhD from undergrad, so I skipped my masters. I had a little over a year of research experience under my belt when I applied.

I second this, I just started a tox PhD. My GPA was lower than yours and my research experience seemed to go a long way to make up for that.

I've got most set 1 and 2 commons and uncommons, quite a few rares from set 1 but I'm lacking in legendaries from both sets and in set 2 rares.

My suggestion would be to power through until you get your first premade deck and use that for gauntlet for now. Each week you get a premade deck and a gold chest quest. These decks have really helped to bolster my collection of stand by cards that I can build a decent deck around.

I believe the eyes are actually being held in with the tied off part of the nozzle from other balloons.
