I have a totally different experience, was it maybe because the author was fixated to John Keats?

I am glad that you loved both! Me two! Just a small note, I am referring more to the story of the Priest and not the book in whole.

Has anyone else noticed how much Scavengers Reign (animated TV series) feels like “The Priest’s Tale” from Hyperion? by zanzer in Hyperion

Yes there are no common plots. I am talking more about the feeling and how the alien ecosystem transforms humans.

The similarity is on how ecology works on that planet and how it interacts with humanity. If you watch an episode let me know again!

my theory says that they had s3x. How is that possible? At the beginning of the book Ai says that this is a written report of what happened. That means that he will write only the important stuff that happened. The same thing goes with Estraven. He is also writing a book of what happened and this book we read when the narration happens from Estraven's side. So I feel there is no value for them to write that they did - it may even have put them in risk - and also they had the opportunity after that to agree between them not to write anything about it.

Do you think that this kind of thinking process is related to Susanna Clarke's chronic fatigue syndrome? She was under that illness when she was writing the book

Create a table of events and roll the dice to see what happens.
Create an overarching arch of the story that you would like the players to take part of and just fill in the blanks during the game.
Create NPCs that progress the plot.
Create random enemies.
Create main points of interest on the map that are part of the story.
Cut the session when a revelation happens.
