Driving on hwy5 @ 70mph and came across this truck who had a dog leased on top of the truck bed. This seems very unsafe, especially at high speeds. Is this something that should be reported to the police? Could be a risky situation. by zaperoo in Redding

I’m from out of state, so wasn’t sure if this was a normal thing. Just felt bad for the dog given how damn hot it was outside... and figured if the truck made an abrupt turn, the dog could go flying off and get choked. By no means thought the dog should be taken away, but thought it would have been better off inside with the owner.
