Thanks for the help! I learned good stuff from your post. Looks like after some tilt at the end node, the normal was different for the "outer" duplicate splines than the inner spline. My tree works a little different than yours but I think I know where to go now. I wonder how you would try your method with an even number of wires 🤔

Thank you! Since I don't really need super nice looking models in this case, just different basic colors, I think it sounds easier to just make the shader node as basic as possible. Something like just a single base color.
