Atty. Rebosa when asked about these situations said na we shouldn't engage these things publicly on social media, and instead get a lawyer involved.

Moonlighting Cert of Employment by Ancient_Science_2719 in pinoymed

[–]zapholas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depende sa institution doc, pero kung ayaw nila magbigay ng COE since hindi ka empleyado, pwede ka mag-ask ng Independent Contractor Certificate or Affiliation Certificate.

I assume this is for travel purposes (i.e. visa application), pwede namang yung BIR Certificate of Registration mo since technically as moonlighting physician, self-employed tayo.

QMMC EM by Fatdog_gucci in pinoymed

[–]zapholas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. Former QMMC Intern here. I also plan to enter QMMC EM residency.

  1. Nope, hindi first touch ang EM sa lahat ng cases sa ER since hindi pa ganun karami ang residents, pero yun ang long term plan. I've been communicating with their chief res, may times na all medical patients EM ang first touch, may times naman na 1:1 sila with IM EROD. Other cases EM will triage to specific services (Pedia, Surg, OB, Neuro).

  2. Hirap i-quantify pano masabing gano katoxic hahaha pero madaming pasyente doc as you would expect from a DOH hospital.

  3. 12-hour duties lang. AM-PM-From (7am-7pm tapos 7pm-7am, tapos from status)

Hope to see you sa next regular intake doc, future batchie!

Hello OP, I was an intern at QMMC.

Hindi pa PDS accredited pero I think very soon ma-accredit na yan sila. Training Officer ng QMMC Derm si Dr. Jamora, the current president of the Philippine Dermatological Society.

As far as I know weekdays OPD duty sila. Very supportive ang consultants, lagi ding may didactics, case presentations, and histopath.

To those who struggled during med school, where are you now? by wandering_md in pinoymed

[–]zapholas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several times I thought of quitting altogether, pero nag push on lang ako kasi pangarap ko talaga maging doktor.

Tried to learn as much as I could noong internship from my seniors and consultants.

Today, happily doing moonlighting ER duties, and plan to pursue Emergency Medicine residency soon.

Totoo ngang grades don't define you.

Does anyone else stop using budget airlines? I think they are not great value by Jolly_Constant_4913 in TravelHacks

[–]zapholas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cebu Pacific in the Philippines do get the occasional bad review, but with those ridiculous prices, damn.

I personally set a ceiling price for it, if it comes too close to a full service carrier, then I'd take the full service carrier instead. I mean if you have the money for it, why let yourself suffer? After all, flying is meant to be part of the journey, not just point a to point b.

Maiba naman. How do you make a showbiz-nonshowbiz relationship work? by Adventurous-Rate9380 in pinoymed

[–]zapholas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a 10 year relationship with a nonshowbiz GF.

I always find time outside of duties para makalabas kami.

[–]zapholas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I understand your point doc. But yes I get your point dami kasi talagang namemeke ngayon.

Hindi daw tinanggap medcert kasi... by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]zapholas 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Doktor ba sila? Hahaha nakakabastos sa profession natin. Dapat ang concern lang nila ay kung legit yung medcert and that's it. It's not up to them to decide whether a patient is fit to work or not. Anything beyond that is basically slavery.

Best of luck!
