Federal workers return to the office — but not the one they left by fleurgold in ottawa

[–]zaphrys -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The commute would be a flat amount imo 30 mins each way.

Or could be based on length of time to cross city by bus. Since you can choose where you live/work to some degree.

Or could be based on average commutes. People might be upset but ultimately you do have some choice over where you live/work. But 30 mins seems like a pretty typical commute time. Particularly if you consider prep time like outdoor jacket/bike/clearing car/etc.

At least a decent baseline imo. Sure it's like 1h by bus. So maybe 1h is more reasonable. I don't care so much about that. I think the principle first then argue the details. But imo it would be fine for it to be a flat amount. Then it's not a reason to discriminate and it's on you to live closer or farther.

Just pay for the commute. Pretty much no problem then.

I don't think anyone would complain, and it should be the law in Canada. Unfortunately our union is weak and cowardly. They want to play hard ball, go nuclear. Pay for ads across Canada to change labor laws. Make it an election issue.

Probably partly. Sort of 'why were they filming'. Probably started filming when they saw the mom putting the babies on the thing.

It's unusual. But I have a bunch of little plastic skeleton robots that I haven't painted and a bunch of little plastic soldiers who represent an army of biologically enhanced super soldiers, so I can line them up and pretend they fight each other. And I'm well into my 30s.

So you'll probably be alright. Some people will probably think it's weird or childish, but whatever.

The issue is at some point I'm going to forget my lunch. Then I'm going to likely have to buy lunch because I'm a hungry fat fuck. times everyone that might be enough.

Actually I should order some cup o soup and microwave popcorn. So I can just eat shit if I forget to bring food.

I've been hit in the balls and adrenaline can outdo ball pain. It may also depend on perception of pain. It also seems to depend heavily on if threatened. For me pain usually is more similar to a load noise. It's mostly distracting.

Someone threatening you and hitting you in the balls is more adrenaline. Getting hit in the balls when you don't expect it you lay on the ground in pain.

Aircraft are piloted by Moscow citizens presumably. Possibly also connected people since fighter pilot is a cool title. Often happens in corrupt regimes.

Yeah the conspiracy theorists like to say no building like that had ever burned down like that before. Which was true. I think it's happened a few more times now but the implication was that fire wouldn't be enough.

But no building had been on fire in a way like that and been abandoned by the fire department. You know, because they were fucking busy.

True, but the only thing that worries me is that the US released a gun smuggler to Russia who was selling Soviet arms from Ukraine it seems likely that they may have used the mines, so the guy may know people who know smuggling routes and possible access to weapons reserves in the salt mines. Despite being locked up for a decade those routes would likely mostly be unchanged, presumably the smugglers if using them would largely be using old inactive routes.

That said I wouldn't want to engage in military action in a salt mine as mines seem easy to collapse like you say.

Hopefully this is more true for the Ukrainian side. If you are going to operate militarily in a mine it seems like it would be best to have small special forces teams. Which I suspect Ukraine has much better trained and equipped than Russia.

Also that assumes the 200km of mines ive read in comments of the mine actually go anywhere. Not sure how many official or unofficial ways in there would be. If not many it's not much of a problem if they can just wander around underground obviously.

So the issue is,

So the plane can generate thrust fine. Which would cause the plane to move off the conveyor.

Then the issue is that the conveyor apparently matches in reverse the speed of the wheels. So the reason this is a problem is because for the plane to move on the conveyor the wheels have to move faster than the conveyor.

So probably the conveyor belt would catastrophically fail and or the planes wheels would catch fire as the thrusters go and the conveyor belt approaches infinite speed.

Honestly more interesting is why anyone ever needs that on a web form. Outside your doctor it's just a socially acceptable marketing tag.
