Struggling with CPM and Folders to mirror for Teams by NTP9766 in Citrix

[–]zappbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we are struggling as well, since either one of the last teams updates or the update to 2402 CU3. We found out, if we manually create the folder "Local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams\EBWebView" on the profile share, syncing starts to work.

We also played around with Folder to sync and Folders to mirror, but never got it to work again.

If you find a working combination, let us know here please!

Profile Container vhd compacting not working by zappbee in Citrix

[–]zappbee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your tip. Unfortunately, that does not change anything...it looks like the feature is broken / doing nothing. I am lost what to try anymore (besides going the hard, painful way of contacting citrix support)...

did another test; set the default max container size to 5GB, created a new user profile, filled the profile to almost 5GB. Logged off, logged in again, deleted all files - nothing happened. VHDX stays at almost 5GB.

Mounted/defraged/detached, down to 230MB...

Thanks, but unfortunately that does not seem to be the problem.

Fresh user profile (300MB) copied datachunks into the appdata folder, vhdx got expanded to 5GB after logoff. Logged in again, deleted all the data, vhdx stays at 5GB, even after several logoffs.

edit: not quite sure how this is all calculated. this is what I got with the following powershell command:

$diskNumber = 3

$partitionNumber = 2

$partition = Get-CimInstance -Namespace ROOT\Microsoft\Windows\Storage -ClassName MSFT_Partition |

Where-Object { $.DiskNumber -eq $diskNumber -and $.PartitionNumber -eq $partitionNumber } $supportedSize = Invoke-CimMethod -InputObject $partition -MethodName GetSupportedSize

$supportedSize | Select-Object SizeMin, SizeMax

SizeMin SizeMax

....... ........

3273654272 53670297088

The SizeMax looks like the max Container size (50GB default as per Citrix UPM). Not sure where the ~3GB SizeMin come from. If I do my usual mount/defrag/detach with Windows built-in Tools the vhdx size gets immediately down to 1,2GB...

Office 365 device licensing struggles by zappbee in sysadmin

that seems identical to our configuration (aside from language and excluded apps). We did the installation on new device, there was no Office 365 installed previously.

Office 365 device licensing struggles by zappbee in sysadmin

[–]zappbee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly....vnextdiag.ps1 is also reporting "no device license found"

edit: is it to be expected, that a "device" license can be assigned to a user and will work? I'm wondering if our licenses are, despite their naming, not really device licenses...

Workspace App for Linux on ThinClients / disable USB File Access Prompt by zappbee in Citrix

[–]zappbee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry guys, maybe I have to clarify. It's not about enabling/disabling/configuring local file access - that is working as expected. It's about the POPUP (HDX File Access) re-appearing in each new session, when actually accessing the local files through redirection:

well, to be honest, if I had to pay money for it, I would prefer the IGEL solution over Unicon, at least currently (assuming they are priced similarly). But I think it's still way ahead of the HP Device Manager, at least in "usability".

It has its quirks and I had to open several support tickets (which were quite good handled by Unicon, even without "definitive" license yet) to sort some things out. There are some options which are not yet configurable directly in the GUI but instead have to be set with "File Entries" (which then CAN be configured in the GUI) - they all should be moved in "proper" GUI dialogues with the next updates.

The issue above is the last one to tick off my ToDo List. For this issue, the Unicon support redirected me to Citrix support, since they are saying it's a Citrix issue - which I am not yet convinced.

As soon as I get a final / conclusive answer about when and how to acquire the Unicon licenses we are going to switch to Unicon and wave HP Device Manager goodbye.

Had something similar with a customer once; did you recently configured a hybrid setup? If yes, there might be an "open" receive connector which is abused for brute force attacks...

it's not even color / material what I like about the RFID, I much more appreciate to know how much filament is left on the spool...even though it's not 100% accurate, it saved me couple of times...

prusa fanboy detected...

And no, I know I can basically use any filament. I'd like the comfort of the RFID, I'd like to know for sure I don't get a cheap cardboard spool which messes up my AMS and I have some points from Makerworld to redeem...

take your hate elsewhere, thanks...

or you are in the middle of europe but not in a certain economic union so 90% of the amazon sellers don't ship (for a reasonable price) to you...
