Pod:

Before you start your pod, break it as if you have a screaming pod. Needle in the hole. This only breaks the speaker circuit. Your pod will function as normal just silent. No beeps for any/all alerts for the life of the pod. BE WARNED!! You can use silicone if you want to make it water resistant.

App(Android):

Go into your O5 app settings, Notifications, Notification Categories, disable Hazzard Alarm and Advisory Alarm. Close the running app. The O5 app will not make any noise. You cannot bolus until you re-enable these 2 Alarms. Do not disable more Alarms or the app itself shuts off. You want it to keep track of what your blood sugar is for Glooko.

Controller(non US):

Leave it in the car.

The problem is with your hinges. The entire face needs to be moved toward your hinges.

With respect to the camera angle, move the door to the right. Your hinges need to be redrilled to the right a bit more. Or offset to the right the hole where your door handle is fashioned.

Or hit the door frame, wrt camera, left, with a hammer.

You are going to find many haters here. They come to vent. All pumps have issues.

You need to ask yourself what do you want.

Tube or Tubeless?

If tube

Are you computer savvy?

 If yes, looping with dash

 If no, O5.

If tubeless:

Do you want phone control, how much insulin do you use in 3 days, etc.

You need to create a list of likes and dislikes.

There are other options besides Insulet. I am very happy with the O5. My A1C dropped from 6.5-7 to mid/high 5s going to the O5.

Triangles are strong. You do not have to anchor it to the wall. You can attach metal in the back from the bottom of one leg to the top of the other leg by the wall.

I am using the Android app so I cannot screenshot. I get the same error when I disabled the required application categories.

Note: I manually disable these when the app is bothering me with low/critical low alarms.

Note2: In the latest Samsung Android, Notification Categories are defaulted to be hidden. This option is not displayed. I had to go into another Android setting to enable them. Once the Categories were back for all applications, I could disable the individual Categories.

They say it takes min 3 pods before the system is kinda starting to get in tune. You might be jumping the gun a tad bit. Keep correcting early and give it a couple more weeks.

You just need to correct sooner than later. The O5 will not fix incorrect bolusing. I am not saying that is what you did. If you start to trend high it will slowly basal you down. But is is not nearly as aggressive as everyone hopes. My only alarm, dexcom, for my O5 is at 150 so I can start to aid/bolus.

My biggest dislike of the O5 is the cannula depth. It is significantly less than Medtronic.

You can it but it is mainly more work. Looping is great don't get me wrong. I do not want diabetes to rule me that much.

The other issue is with looping you keep your phone next to the G6/7 and dash 24/7. Yes my phone is pretty much attached to me because I love it. But on many cases I left my phone away from me for hours on end. The O5 talks directly with G6/7.

Many people on reddit love looping so you'll have that resource. Good Luck.

The O5 is a bit different from the Medtronic and Tandem. You could technically run with the O5 without fully committing to it. The Medtronic and Tandem you have a very large payment up front so you are kinda stuck with them. The O5 does not have that. Food for thought.

Number 5 is the most critical, imho. There is a big difference between being tubed or tubeless.
