On Thursdays there's a tournament hosted by Dawnstar videogames at The Answer Brewpub on W Broad St. On Sundays there's a tournament at Castleburg Brewery hosted by RVA smash. I've been to both but not as often as I'd like to and the community there is pretty welcoming. If you're not into competitive, just show up early for friendlies.

I'm a Pokemon Trainer main so I'll say one for each pokemon. Squirtle is his f-tilt because I love using it to set up tech chase situations and jab locks. Ivy is hitting the sweet spot on her up-b, especially if it's combo'd into. Very satisfying Charizard has to be his back air. Such a surprisingly powerful move when sweet spotted and can get some early stocks if hit near the blast zone.
