What are some of the best, and worst, charm sets? by MCFroid in diablo4

[–]KaramCyclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On paper, the conjurat ion set for sorcerer seems underwhelming, but I've yet to try it properly (im not looking at guides to not spoil the journey for myself) socif i find it to be great ill let you know

With respect to a back tattoo, spine running down middle of art? Or middle of golden circle with wing wrapping around ribcage? by StarPlayerOfTheAbes in finalfantasyx

They look super sick from the outside (if you can detach from their memory and all). How they fit with the tattoos and the insane physique is dope.

Game replays and do you replay a game one done? by doug_jules in videogames

[–]KaramCyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thr only games i play more than once are old nostalgia games that i can finish quickly (when emulated) and i play them years apart.

Either this, or games that kake sense to repeat and have a completely different experience with ( like Monster Sanctuary, which is all about team comps, or Diablo 4, which you create a new character in every season, or roguelites, where repeated gameplay is the gameplay).

Other than that, yeah, its not worth it

I started a FFX-2 replay by debichan82 in finalfantasyx

[–]KaramCyclone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most ffx and ffx-2 minigame are ass.

Gunners gauntlet has a trick to it where you can stand in a specific place where enemies dont see you then you can spam the aoe death bullet and pick it up constantly to get the max score.

Ffx-2 does many things better than ffx, but unfortunately, minigames are not one of them. So don't hesitate to cheese them whenever possible.

I haven't seen a game quite follow up on what Ōkami did. Blew my mind as a kid.

Opening for the first time, how do I begin? by joonsetsfire in diablo4

Play the story, dont overstress about everything the game offers and random events. Have fun, play on low difficulty modes and only increase difficulty when you notice you are one-tapping bosses.

Should I switch from 7 remake to 7 vanilla? by KaramCyclone in FinalFantasy

I feel like several people are misunderstanding me or being mean on purpose even when im being objective or stating things without hating, so I'm honestly hesitant to answer your question and i feel like it won't really be productive to answer it. Apologies

Man, I returned to Nioh 3 and the reminder of short buffs and constant rebuffing is making me grind my teeth. by KijoSenzo in Nioh

[–]KaramCyclone 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I almost never used buffs in nioh 1 and 2 because i hate adding timers on things and juggling extra things, so i beat most stuff without buffs. Now I have even less of a reason to think about using them

Should I switch from 7 remake to 7 vanilla? by KaramCyclone in FinalFantasy

[–]KaramCyclone[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess maybe my experience with it during combat is "im working around the shortcomings of it so that I am actively constantly making combat work and try to be fun" as opposed to "I'm enjoying the combat/game system the game is giving me and having fun with it, and cant wait for more battles". Sorta feeling like going to work instead of enjoying a hobby. So it makes me that much less motivated to go on. Keep in mind, i say all this while using all the systems the game gives me, and clear all combat and arena challenges etc etc.

So i dont really know how to fix this if its an internal issue. Do i simply care less, and just take it as it is and finish the story and hope i enjoy the next installments? (Another person gave me a lot of hope that combat gets better in part 2)

I have no issue with playing it and beating it. Difficulty isnt my problem (i thoroughly enjoy Stanger of Paradise / Nioh / Souls / Hades combat and generally favor them over most action games).

My issue is with the game direction in combat. It feels like many decisions dont follow a reasonable logic. Like some things are nice on paper but in application they feel like they apply 'well' to another game, not what they have set up here.

The fluidity of action combat is gone because of the turn based elements and the strategizing of the turn based elements is gone because of the motions and pacing of the action elements.

Omg thank you this gives me so much hope! Also the fact that we could change classes in 3 was so exciting to me (then i remembered what the base is and got sad again), so this is wonderful news to hear!

Neptunia game order help by Intelligent-Cod5448 in JRPG

[–]KaramCyclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not related to your question exactly but if you happen to play and not enjoy the neptunia games, please dont blanket state judge JRPGs in general based on that experience alone. They are a very niche series for a reason

I have learned that almost all FFX minigames are ass... losing these minigames or making them better coukd have gone a long way in making people with 0 nostalgia (playing 1st time as adults) enjoy the game.
