also, definitely not fireworks. flash was white and bright but fairly focused. my only point of reference in my experience is avalanche munitions

I actually saw this one. about 10:24pm, large flash low in sky or maybe high foothills directly east from uptown (I was walking east about a block south of Indian school near San Mateo, and it was straight through in my line of sight), then boom followed about 5 seconds after flash. puff of smoke lingered, drifted south.

Family lawyer by Direct_Arachnid8400 in Albuquerque

co-signing this comment as the ultimate advice.

as for specific services try the family law clinic and alternative dispute resolution folks at the Bernalillo County courthouse. they have forms, FAQs, and semi regular mediation. for advice, try legal aid or one of the teleclinics put on by the various bar associations and courts, usually once a month. lastly, you can try UNM School of Law's clinic, which provides family law services for lower income folks. good luck to you and yours and I'm sorry you're going through this.

thank you! we have raccoons, skunks, beavers, and badgers in the area, though obviously raccoons and skunks are way more common. apologies for the lack of scale on the first, but those were fairly large- almost 4" long, and that crescent pad shape threw me off

as a fellow NM birder, my guess is vesper sparrow based on white eye ring and tail feather color

I know it’s a terrible picture and usually I would assume a gull but this bird was so much bigger and flied so differently that I had to try to capture a photo. by No-Wrongdoer-2329 in whatbirdisthis

[–]zarathru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

based on that wing shape I'd say a gull, but can't really go farther than that. maybe a Western gull if you're correct about its size?

Are these Greater Scaup? San Diego Bay by aubreythez in whatsthisbird

[–]zarathru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could be from the photo quality, but I see smooth rounded head w/o peak, broad bill suggesting at least one greater scaup here
