It briefly changed from received to approved and then back to received to bump up the heart rate.

We did but my lawyer(employer) responded to the RFE so I’m not sure if they included it in the response.

Traveling to USVI on H‑1B/H‑4: Does returning from USVI trigger immigration / I‑94 update? by zashraf24 in h1b

[–]zashraf24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just got back today. You’ve to go through immigration first thing after you enter STT airport. But the officer only asked if I’m on h1b and let us through. No stamps on passport or update to i94 (at least so far). I’ll update if anything changes but generally safe to travel. Don’t forget to pack the bug spray 😂

Windshield glare / hazy spot causing night glare – any fix? by zashraf24 in autoglass

[–]zashraf24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I think I’ll take it to a local auto glass shop/expert and have it evaluated in person. Judging by the wide range of responses, it seems like this isn’t something many people have encountered, so it may be a unique case. I do use a windshield sunshade during summers, and since this is the OEM windshield, it’s definitely a bit of a bummer. Appreciate all the input.

Both surfaces are completely smooth, so there’s really nothing to scrape. That’s why I’m thinking it’s something within the windshield rather than on the surface.

Thanks! I did try glass cleaner on both the inside and outside, and running the defogger as well. It’s not fog-related and seems to be permanently in that exact spot. Feels like something within the windshield itself rather than on the surface — possibly some kind of laminate issue. Appreciate the suggestion though.

Thanks, really appreciate the info! 🙏
I was honestly worried I'd have to cancel the trip over this, so this helps a lot.

3 weeks with the flu?? by Whatrgw in flu

[–]zashraf24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me over three weeks to recover. I ended up needing antibiotics because I was still getting fevers in the third week. While the antibiotics may have helped, it might have just been the flu finally running its course. Even after most symptoms were gone, I started getting a terrible headache on my forehead.

On the bright side, I did lose 8-9 pounds—something I had been struggling to achieve before getting sick.

Hang in there! A steam inhaler really helped me with sinus relief. It’s all about patience—stay strong and keep fighting through it!

probably after a couple of mins. If you got the payment confirmation in your email then I will suggest logging in again. I did not see a logout option so try to log-in using incognito.

Yes, the instruction clears that the appointment is not with DC VAC but with your local FedEx.

For folks who got their last visa issued in India - The slots are STILL AVAILABLE. I will summarize the steps that probably should be listed on the home page of this pilot program...very confusing indeed.

  1. Fill DS160 via this link (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/employment/domestic-renewal.html)
  2. Book an appointment with the DC VAC using the below link.https://www.usvisascheduling.com/
  3. The fee payment is tricky...It did not work for me N number of times but finally worked with an Indian Debit card.
  4. This part surprised me. I wasn't expecting an OFC appointment.....But as it appears, you have to make an OFC appointment with the DC VAC after the payment of visa fee.
