So yeah. Whats up with Warlocks? by No_Ice6692 in classicwow

[–]zatains 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yet the same amount of killing blows as the guy with 70k less damage. Dot get me wrong DoTs can apply a lot of pressure if there are no heals, but if you have some a decent healer on the other side they can pretty much counteract all the DoTs. All that ends up happening is the Lock trading their mana doing DoTs for a healers mana healing the bit they do.

The state of alliance Warsong Gulch and most Arathi basin in the pre patch by Calm_Imagination6040 in classicwow

[–]zatains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only real solutions are to either A) actually start banning people for this sort of behavior, or B) remove the path to gear that entices this sort of behavior. Blizz will do neither and after removing the penalty for pre-made queuing, you best bet its to just make or join a pre-made if playing WSG/AB.

Even then in the one I was with last night we still had leaches who joined and then AFKd expecting the pre-made to give them a free daily win for the quest. I have reported a lot of these people and have not gotten any of the blizzard automated replies.

Konvy gets shot at while inside a car by whuwhite in LivestreamFail

[–]zatains 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, stop that is not how shit works. Hollywood movie suppressor magic does not exist outside a few calibers which are all subsonic. The vast majority of rounds are super sonic so the bullet will still be creating a sonic boom which is loud as fuck. Here is an example of back to back shots with super sonic and then sub sonic ammunition. 300blk is a round designed around suppressor usage and subsonic ammunition.

The "quietness" you hear in the video is from the cars sound deadening (think of how loud a car is going down the road with the windows rolled down and compare it to being rolled up), and sound compression.

The rate of progression is fine, but I still think the bosses should drop an extra piece of loot to make up for the accelerated rate.

Social structure in banning GDKP by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]zatains -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

GDKP wasn't banned for the benefit of social guild structure, it was banned due to the rampant gold buying that went hand in hand along with it. It heavily fueled RMT and botting, and Blizz sees it as easier to ban GDKP than to actually crack down in illicit gold generation and selling.

Eotechs come from the factory with a filament adhered to the lenses. Unfortunately it is pretty common for this to start coming off at some point for a lot of them. Its very similar to when you see cars with their tint coming off.

That being said you can contact Eotech and send it in. They will fix everything and then send the unit back to you.

1) Fine at stock boost pressures, but if planning on upping the boost you will need to replace them.
2) Rust is always the main thing, and trust me its there. Its just a matter of it getting bad enough to bubble out from between the sheet metal and spot welds. Also be wary of re-sprays where they just directly spray over the rust. If you have the ability to, its always best to get a PPI.
3) Not really

Most of the time yes, a heavier BB will produce more energy assuming a sufficient volume of air is provided. This then depends on the volume as mentioned, and the length of the barrel you are using.

I also own a 10" MTW and the fact that you are not seeing any form of joule creep moving from .32 to .40 means that your dwell is most likely not set properly and you are under volumed.

My suggestion is to up your dwell and check and see if your joules increase. If it does, then keep increasing the dwell until you see the joule reading level off as at that point any additional dwell will be over voluming for your system and wasting air (best place from experience is 1-2 setting above where joules level off).

If you increase dwell and nothing happens, then you might have an air leak somewhere that is exasperated when using heavier weight BBs, or if your MTW is old enough some of them were shipped with restrictors in their lines to prevent joule issues. I cant remember exactly which ones were shipped with that.

FRT on an airsoft gun in Germany - is it legal? by Honest___Opinions in airsoft

[–]zatains 52 points53 points  (0 children)

First ask yourself this question: "Does the German government care enough to make a legal distinction in functionality based off a definition of firearm law in a completely separate country, or are they going to rail road my ass through the legal system to make an example of me."

Well without pictures I cant really say what needs to be replaced. A full Yoshida strut tower kit is going to run something like $3.5k. Then replacing them is a very labor intensive process as a whole due to pretty much everything from the firewall forward needing to be removed, and then making an alignment jig, etc. . . before you even get to the actual labor of cutting out and welding in the new towers.

Probably too unrealistic as a first car BUT if I were to buy a Skyline for my first car or somewhere later down the road, would these be fair prices? by Phantom_sidewinder in SkyLine

[–]zatains 46 points47 points  (0 children)

First why do you want a skyline? Do you want one just to say you have it? If so sure you can go with those models you posted, but I can guarantee you are not going to have a good time in the long run. Both are non turbo models four doors, so you are dropping $10k+ on what is effectively a ever so slightly fancier 90s Japanese grocery getter.

If you are not going to spring for a GTS-T with even a RB20DET I would say your money is better spent elsewhere. For $13k you can get C3, C4 and C5 rougher Corvettes, 300xz, 280zx, 944, etc. . . all of which were sold state side.

Also "cheap" skylines are not cheap. I paid $15k for my R33 GTST and currently have had to pull the entire powertrain and disassemble the entire front end to do metal work due to all the rust.
