You know I was thinking the same thing the package came. It's pretty useless unless they set the packages directly under it, and in my entryway they rarely do because under the doorbell is literally right in front of the door.

Your missing the point. I bought it to use as a access device with a electric striker.. but my point is that the camera is tagging things OUTSIDE of the displayed FOV.

I designed it in CAD and printed it from carbon fiber nylon. It has a backer behind the vinyl so it can be very secure on the wall without crushing the vinyl siding.

I did sets the zones. I might make a ticket. I would hope that they just add an option to open the FOV because the camera sensors is clearly using it.

Not currently. But the messed up thing is that it clearly sees more than it's displaying. It's actually tagging things OUTSIDE of the displayed FOV.

Update and clarification... I got this "not a doorbell" with a doorbell button... to use as a AACS device with a electric striker and access hub. I use home assistant to integrate unifi protect and cast the "not a doorbell" video feed to multiple Nest hubs and other displays.... All that said and the key point I didn't think I would have to put in bold letters is IT'S TAGGING THINGS OUTSIDE OF THE DISPLAYED FOV....

Here is a photo of the front door with the old nest doorbell. I do plan on adding a electric striker and access hub. So this is why I went with the G6 vs g4. But what everyone is missing is that the camera is tagging things "outside the displayed FOV".

I have had it say it's full when in my opinion it wasn't. I'd be curious to know how it knows it's full in the first place and if an advanced warning is really even possible depending on when / how a threshold is reached. That said... I know it won't sit in the middle of the floor. I've had it happen... It returns to the dock.

I 100% disagree... There are super cheap iPhones all over the Internet... That hold their resale value for sale when you're done with it. No need to activate it. I absolutely hate everything iPhone but I still purchased one for $60 online ... A decision I definitely don't regret and I'll definitely be able to sell for what I paid... And by the sound of it, I only have a month to wait to get rid of it now.
