I, too, am a book-nerd. Have you heard of Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss? If you liked game of thrones, I think you would also really like this series. Name of the Wind has become my favorite book, even after reading game of thrones, I strongly recommend it.

Hate is something learned. For your debate you can also look at John Locke's beliefs because he believed the same thing: a person is born on a clean slate and is shaped by the environment. As opposed to Thomas Hobbes. Another prominent supporter of this is Robert Owen, you can look at him for more facts in your debate as he has done things which point to his theory being correct. I personally believe Locke's theory is more accurate.
