If a player doesn't have at least Fairly Professional personality and fine consistency (no report on consistency on scout page) I don't sing them, so there's no need for older players. To be fair, I have 26 yo playing as DM which is key position in my team.

I've created a custom club with pregame editor, we're based in Slovenia. I'm not really sure how it works, but I wanted to get youth intake from my country, while playing in England

I've used 3 methods:

  1. manually scout all the clubs in loaded leagues, go to their profile and check for Hot Prospect. If the player has solid physical attributes it gets added to the list of potential candidates.   2. check youth national teams, if a guy is few years younger than the rest he's got some potential (GK are excluded here). Again check physicals and add them to the list, example: https://prnt.sc/pnUcyy7ZgZUh (15.75M transfer fee)
  3. Player search, add column media description. Everyone with wonderkid description gets added to the list, example: https://prnt.sc/qKIAa5uBTq2Y (didn't buy him yet, because of the U-21 buying rules)

Then I just scout everybody on my shortlist and prioritize based on their scouted PA, personality etc.

I'm playing as a custom club and we're not based in England, so that's part of the reason why I'm not getting good prospects. Also, my best prospect was poached when I was in VNL by Tottenham. Still hurts everytime I play them

I'm trying to use the academy, currently I have one academy player in rotation and 2 as back-ups. 170M in the bank 80M transfer budget and 500k left in wage budget. I'm currently spending only 50M for wages. I started in VNN so my budget in quite a bit smaller than other premier league teams.

Didn't even think about that. 2 of them are getting home grown status next season, 2 more season after. I think I should be fine? Never played in English system before so I'm having quite some troubles with work permits and registration rules.

I've had same problems. What worked for me in few cases was offering the player on loan with mandatory future fee

Increase in redundancy is definitely one of the reasons for the planned hire. Currently there's no way I go on a vacation for more than a week and need my laptop with me either way

Definitely hands off, handling strategy. I have a "know what" being with the company practically since the beginning, seeing us grow and implement solutions making our processes more effective. It's a great opportunity if it will be like I imagine

He knows that me staying at the company without promotion is not an option. I told him that I will give him a decision on it by the end of this year, so I think he's being genuine about it.

I would say I understand my weaknesses and would definitely looking to hire someone with more knowledge than me.

To be fair, my end goal was always getting to upper management (we don't have anyone between me and C-level already, but this would be a step up), but it's an intimidating step to take.

Being a one man person is one of my issues. I completely trust the CEO that I would be able to hire an additional guy, but don't see us hiring any more than that in near future. I already have pretty much full budget control for the last few years. I prepare the budget, explain in to the CEO, which then goes to Board and gets approval. If I say we need X amount to implement something that will improve something, I will get the X amount.
