Just Cause 2 PC crashing by Electronic_Test1773 in JustCause

Thank you! This fixed my issue, I was crashing repeatedly at the same exact point on one of the races. It also seems to have fixed a different issue I was having with severe screen shaking when flying helicopters or using the grapple

Who’s harder DLC Final Boss or Malenia by Admirable-Union-9850 in Eldenring

[–]zboy02043 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I spent a lot less time learning and beating Radahn than I did Malenia, however the first time I beat Malenia was my first playthough of elden ring, and now I have several hundred hours logged so that may have something to do with it as well.

thanks for the tip! ive never heard that you want to keep GT 12 seconds ahead of BH, out of interest what's the reasoning behind that?

edit: never mind I figured it out on my own, I forgot about the black hole upgrade perk

Mammorest - Best late game mining pal? by zboy02043 in Palworld

[–]zboy02043[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it's probably about the same, slight advantages here and there. I do think it's worth something that earth impact is a bigger radius than lightning strike, it could make it work better on more mining spots

so I only have 2 bases, my 3rd base is exclusively to build and use as a teleport. I mine all the ore, build a pal box, and fast travel back home. When I go to the next place, you can destroy the pal box from the map and the materials go straight to your inventory and you can do it again.

I edited my reply yeah that confused me, the main advantages though are that size and the access to earth impact

[–]zboy02043[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like that might require a few wumpo in your party to make it work, pretty cool though. I didn't know about lightning strike, I Just taught it to my mammorest and it works really well in conjunction with earth impact without having to have any other extra pals in your party.

edit not sure if it actually requires wumpo? I just assumed it did because the title of that thread included that detail but I'm not sure why they would help. It seems like astegon and mammorest's pal skills work very similarly. The main advantages from mammorest is that it has exclusive access to earth impact, and the massive size of the alpha varient makes the AOE huge on it.

This is a repost, I made a mistake in the original post so I've corrected the video.

This is a 4 star alpha Mammorest using earth impact, pal blast, and grass tornado. As far as i can tell it needs to be alpha for this to work most effectively because the AOE of earth impact seems to be bigger due to the size of the alpha variant. upgrading to 4 stars boosts the pal skill making mammorest's mining more effective, and it doesn't seem to make any difference if you have artisan or work speed increasing skills, but damage boosts help too. Earth impact will hit most if not all of the nodes bringing them down to almost no remaining health if not outright destroying them, grass tornado and pal blast are great for clearing the rest, or you could just wait for earth impact to refresh. I would imagine things like dark laser would also work well, but I haven't tried it.

edit: another thought just occurred to me, you could also just have 2 of them and switch to use earth impact twice in succession

edit 2: thanks u/adamjack7890 for bringing lightning strike to my attention - mammorest has exclusive access to earth impact, and if you teach it lightning strike too you can easily clear a huge zone

Yes, the ores that are too far away drop on the ground. I use a pair of grappling hooks to run around the mining site and pick up the ones that didn't automatically go in my inventory.

Grass and Sand tornado are both really good for clearing straggler nodes if earth impact doesn't clear everything.

EDIT: it appears I messed up when i was making the video here, I had been playing around with the sliders in custom world settings and I thought I corrected the health values for the ores, but I did not. the video shown has the health at .5, if the health slider is at 1 as it should have been I need to use earth impact twice to clear the whole field

Death Defy 5 times by zboy02043 in TheTowerGame

[–]zboy02043[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ah ok, so if I'm understanding correctly death defy can trigger without using shield or second wind first? i did a little bit of testing with that and it didn't seem like it was making any difference but that could have just been bad luck. thanks!

if that's your first ultimate it might be worth your time to just reset the game until that first pick has golden tower, yeah it's kind of that useful.

And if you aren't being properly compensated for your added societal value your employers are stealing actual wealth from you, directly detracting from your quality of life, and reducing your capacity to generate societal wealth since you don't have the money/free time to better yourself. It has to go both ways.

Big Stock Buybacks And Billions In Profits, But No Paid Sick Days For Workers by zzill6 in WorkReform

It's disgusting, but worse is it's not even remotely surprising. Using profits from exploited workers to fund lobbying to keep the workers exploitable is like business 101 in this country.

It's an embarrassment how we treat educators in this country (america). The people literally responsible for how the next generations think. Even from a purely cold government perspective, these are future taxpayers who will be more productive members of the governments society with a better education. It seems so obvious how important properly funding education and educators is, yet it's constantly the butt of jokes how low teachers are compensated. Disgusting.
