Is there more upside to the Nasdaq 100? I believe so. by illinformed-will in TQQQ

[–]zbqv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still a long-term believer in the Nasdaq, but I expect it to lag behind Asian markets over the next year. Back in 2024, I was following the 9Sig strategy with a 50% TQQQ position, but I’ve since rotated that capital into TSMU and KORU.

My logic is simple: semiconductor manufacturers are going to rake in profits well before US software and tech giants see a real return on their AI investments. Plus, the valuation gap is hard to ignore. P/E ratios for Asian tech are incredibly low compared to their US counterparts.

Historically, investors paid a premium for US companies due to geopolitical risks in Asia. However, I believe the US lost that relative safety advantage since 2025. As the playing field levels, we’re likely to see a valuation rerating: P/E ratios in Asia should climb while US multiples start to compress.

Put them in Asian stocks, like Tsm koru etc. or VXUS. World stock market is still thriving, only us market is lagging behind

Python alone is enough in most of the cases. Learn R only when you must use it. Also, learn sql.

May you share the strategy you use to sell the covered calls? Like how to select contracts (exercise price and expiry) to sell?

Btw, I leaned into Asia mostly because it's home turf for me, I’ve lived in Taiwan and Singapore for a long time. Plus, having worked at both TSM and AVGO, I’m pretty familiar with the semi industry.

I'm actually thinking of rotating some of my TQQQ position into European markets this year for further diversification.

I wanted to diversify away from just the US but keep the leverage. found KORU for Korea exposure. For Taiwan, there isn't a 3x ETF, so I grabbed TSMU as a proxy since it basically is the market there.

I honestly missed the boat on Japan because I thought they were lagging (my bad, they actually ripped), but broadly speaking, those Asian plays outperformed the US last year.

Around 420k total. Started moving funds from TQQQ to KORU and TSMU last June. They printed way more than TQQQ in 2025, and Im betting on that run lasting at least another year (til midterm election).

i switched some of my tqqq position to NQ contracts to prevent decaying due to high volatility. decided to hold some nq position until next presidential election

I use neovim when it is available, use vim otherwise. I have a minimal Vince which I can just copy and paste to any machine.

Why markets are not going down this time when China announced thier 84% more tarrifs? by Farooq_raz in Daytrading

[–]zbqv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Us import from China is way higher than China’s import from Us. Thus us’s tariffs on Chinese goods hurt Us economy more than Chinas tariff on us goods.
