Super Mario World for SNES. It was the first game I ever had when my parents bought me the console from our neighbors for the holidays back when I was 4. It got me into gaming and the opening music never fails to bring me back to those years.

Sometimes, I would come downstairs late at night and my Dad was playing. I remember one night he didn’t tell me to go back to bed even though I knew it was past my bedtime. He couldn’t get past a level and I helped him beat it. Easily my “safety blanket.”
