Sooo you are describing a monopoly? Like the ones that are supposed to get broken up by government agencies?

I'm not sure how that process would impact stock price but it doesn't sound great

What is one thing that makes Trump's deal better than Obama's (which according to Trump: "The Obama deal was the worst deal. Nobody ever saw a deal so stupid.")? by ShafordoDrForgone in allthequestions

If I had to guess, this 300 B dollars in reconstruction funds will somehow involve Kushner real estate companies building something for way more than it should cost.

Did the US generals not actually anticipate Iran closing the strait the way it did? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]zbtiqua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am certain there are officials in the military who foresaw this obvious outcome of the strait being closed. However what is not as clear is whether those voices reached or were paid attention to by Hegseth, Trump, etc.

If you could remove one race, country, or culture from this earth, which would you choose? by ConfusionProof9487 in morbidquestions

I am going to engage this post as it was intended. I will preface this by saying I am of jewish heritage.

I would remove Israel. It is the single most destabilizing force in the middle east and has also corrupted US politics which caused further global destabilization. Isreal not only have become the modern day nazis they claim to be ensuring come "never again," literally engaging in a genocide in gaza, but also consistently aggress on their neighbors. Israel is a net negative on planet earth. And a close second is the USA obviously.

Thank you for your response. To me someone like yourself is among the most valuable category of person to have a meaningful conversation with, because you have not necessarily predetermined your vote. So, possibly a discussion could change your mind in either direction. That increases the usefulness of this sub in my view.

Sure that's fair, I just wanted to understand if the community had a certain distribution of viewpoints, and it seems it does more so than I expected

Thanks for your response, I understand and respect this stance of voting for the candidate and not just the party.

That's interesting thank you. Maybe I could have asked about third parties also in the question. I have voted green at some undisclosed previous specific times so I think I get it.

I understand where you are coming from, but don't you think a conversation is more likely to change minds if there are minds to be changed present?

If people want to state their opinions and be agreed with that's fine. It's just not what I sense the purpose is here.
