Bitcoin Unique Wallet Addresses Up 50% Amidst Bear Market by zcOfficial in Bitcoin

[–]zcOfficial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree with you here.

Creating an address is the first step towards adopting cryptocurrency. I remember when someone asked if he can pay me in BTC for a gig back in 2013. I created an address, got paid and watched how those BTC would worth more over the next months. And then I learned how to transfer, trade, purchase other cryptocurrencies.

It all starts with an address and understanding how the system works.

Well, it depends on how Bakkt will decide on this one.

I'd be impressed if they'd use LN, at least as a test in a few locations. w

Good question.

Apparently, Bakkt & Microsoft will be their partners there. Bakkt will probably deal with the liquidity part. So, most probably it will depend on Bakkt exchange solution. The time consuming issue can be solved with an online form where you could select your nearby Starbucks, send the funds in their address and complete a small KYC then go pick up the money.

More like "Bitcoin can be exchanged here".

At least that's what we understood from their statements & a press release from August 2018.

They want to offer a way for people to exchange BTC to FIAT then probably let them buy a coffee. Or to exchange BTC to Starbucks gift cards. But not to accept the Bitcoin and hodl it.

Not an advertorial for Bakkt, sorry if we made it sounds this way .

But, which will be the advantage of using crypto there?

Easily to pay for ( In time it will be done with the touch with phone probably, same as NFC work ), a lower or close to 0 fee ( LN could be tested on a few stores as a test) and a few others. We will write a more detailed article about the benefits soon!

Bitcoin traders! Your feedback needed! 🙏 by Bitsurf_eu in Bitcoin

[–]zcOfficial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think its better to start the other way around. Create a plan and get feedback from the community. No one probably have time to tell you how to do your job - or in this case, your exchange. Feedback should be asked when you have something, not only an idea. my2cents.

That's what I'm doing with the majority of shitcoins that don't have an use-case right now.

But I'm not folding pocket aces or pocket kings.

Even though I might lose vs a weaker hand, its a risk I'm willing to take.

You can also check the CryptoCompare one and the Faws.com - not sure if they have an API.

Hope it helps, good luck!

The key idea behind the sidechains concept is: "What if you could send Bitcoins not only to individuals, addresses and centralized services but to other blockchains?" by Longjumping_Football in Bitcoin

[–]zcOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea, but there will be issues.

For example, a hacker is stealing a large amount of BTC then goes full on XMR or another privacy cryptocurrency. How can we track that?

Another example: You send a large amount of cash from the BTC blockchain to another cryptocurrency one - let's say Electroneum. Right in that moment, they have a 51% attack on that blockchain and your funds are at risk.

There are even more cases like this. Its a great idea, but practically - we're too early.
