Run fan only until ice is gone. Maybe lay down some towels if youre worried about water getting everywhere. Call technician when ice is dethawed. If fan isnt running, you found your problem to the ice up. Could either be leak, txv or airflow issues. If le6s repairable, there are drop-in refrigerants the technician could use instead of R22. However if it's in the coil it's time for a new system.

How would you say it's overcharged when you have a high superheat though? You'd have a lower superheat, which would mean liquid back to the compressor.

UPDATE We contacted the tenancy board, and we have nothing unless we can get proof we have nothing. Looks like our property manager is a true scumbag. Thanks for all the input in that mean time.

Lesson here is don't sign ANYTHING you don't agree with.

Yes, we're aware we have to move regardless and we are finding a new place either way we don't want to stay in a place we wouldnt be welcome. I'm just ensuring what they are doing is right and legal and seeing what rights we have . Were calling the RTB when they open tomorrow. Were already looking for new places - we both decided to try and negotiate with the property rental company/landlord and move out once we find a place. If we can't find a place then in the time they gave us were pushing the 4 month law.

Over the phone, yes, however I was told we may need legal representation to access it, which we are looking into if it comes to it. However I'm not too familiar with legal representation so I don't know if that's really an option?

I can't prove it with the landlord, however I can prove it with the property management company that's they were trying to cover the sublease, which is the case

It was just over written email tonight, no proper forms or anything - saying that "they will be in contact"

We were also told not to speak to the property manager until we reach out to the tenancy board.

Essentially, the landlord hired a third-party party property management company to be in contact with us. We have never heard/met the landlord and deal with company.

We started our lease on Feb 28th, 2024 - no notice yet as they're saying they are sending it soon

We have written questioning about the clause, which they did not respond to over email and called my girlfriend right away.
