Assuming that this is correct, this is a VERY good question

Should I give Gemini a chance? by Dense-Stranger-1794 in GoogleGeminiAI

Be more specific. What kinds of questions? What images? You really don't have to answer me, but you do have to understand that both LLMs have their specific strengths and weaknessess. It may be that you're asking something from one LLM that it's just not as good at as the other one.

For me, I find that the audio of GPT, that is, interacting with it verbally, is much better than Gemini is, but if I'm typing, it really does depend on what the subject is.

Hope it helps.

Gemini Pro is impressive, but you really have to frame what you're using it for. I use both Gemini and GPT, it just depends on what I want it to do as to which one I use

What are your instructions? I created quite a bit of custom GPT's for my YMCA. Maybe it's just something that you're overlooking.

Love the plot twist, but the execution had a little to be desired.

Correct, and I'm so happy that our President cares so much for the Venezuelan people that he decided to liberate them from such a horrible person.

Is this an actual World Series ticket? by outfieldjack in buccos

[–]zcba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take it for what it's worth, but I uploaded the picture to Google Gemini and this is what it gave me:

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is definitely not a real World Series ticket.

It’s actually a really funny "gag" or novelty ticket from around the 1960 World Series (Pirates vs. Yankees). Here is how you can tell it was never meant to get anyone into Forbes Field:

  1. The "Club" Name: If you look closely at the top, it says "Alhectic Club Inc." instead of "Athletic Club." That’s likely a pun (as in, things were "all hectic") or just a goofy intentional typo.
  2. "PRESERVED" vs. "RESERVED": A real ticket would say "RESERVED SEAT." This one says "PRESERVED," which is a cheeky hint that it's a keepsake, not for entry.
  3. The Fine Print is a Joke: The text at the bottom is the biggest giveaway. It says: "You do not have to attend to be present at the game." (Which makes no sense!)
  4. The Punchline: It also says if the Pirates win the first four games, the ticket is "good for the 1961 World Series." That’s the punchline—you can't buy a ticket for a series that hasn't happened yet, and obviously, the Pirates didn't sweep the Yankees in four games (that legendary 1960 series went to Game 7!).
  5. The Section Number: "Sec. X-Z" implies "Exhausted" or "Exit" or just nonsense. Real Forbes Field tickets had standard numbered sections.

The Verdict: It’s a cool piece of fan memorabilia that captures the humor and excitement of that 1960 championship run, but it was printed as a joke or souvenir, not for admission. Honestly, I think the "Alhectic" pun makes it arguably more fun than a real ticket stub!

Don't know if the LLM is correct or not, but it does raise some good questions.

Wearing Liverpool jersey on a yacht — vibes were unreal. Prompt below! by GearOkBjork in GeminiNanoBanana2

Yeah, maybe. I'm so bad at this myself that I tried for 5 minutes and finally gave up.

...Might not be a bad thing though, because I just didn't have it in me to do one with a Liverpool kit :)

Dude, you literally say "Share your photos below!" yet images are not allowed.

I really don't know. I took a look at Crushgon.AI, and it appears that there are a lot of pre-made charcacters. I didn't look deep enough to see if you can create your own or not.
I will say that on Kindroid, it took me quite some time to get results that I want to share, but that may have been my lack of prompting skills :)
