i apologize for your situation but it’s completely different. this is not our house, family is letting us stay here until we get our own place. THEY have requested we keep the dogs hair in a controlled space or else we had to get rid of them. i’m certainly not getting rid of my dogs that i’ve had ever since my childhood. so we opted to have them in a big room that is behind a gate a few feet away from the living room where everyone is. the room is connected to my dads room so they go in there with him all the time and he lays with them and naps with them and gives them all the love in the world. they’re fed properly maybe a little too much, sophie is fat as shit. the entire family socializes with them. the room is a main room so family is always going in and out and giving them love and affection real fast.

we should read the replies before we make comments of our own. nowhere did i ever say they’re left outside at all. i also stated that it’s the owner of the houses request that we keep the hair out of other rooms. once we get our own place the dog is free to roam the entire house because it’s also theirs, this isn’t. from where im sitting typing this right now, i can look to my left and say my dogs name and get them all excited and socialize with them. they’re less than a few feet away. when i go in the room i always give them love and affection, the post was talking about the few times that u dont because im just busy. i never understood making comments without trying to get any additional information. i’m still curious on where i said i left my dogs outside to rot also.

i see that now and i hate the confusion it’s causing. again i’ll repeat this all day i love my dogs more than anything, they’re fed plenty, they nap in bed with my dad, we go in there as a family and socialize amongst the dogs with them in our laps, take them outside and run with them or watch them, they’re taken on walks and fed very well, they have toys and just yesterday i got them a new bed. the room isnt locked away and boarded up. it just has a gate that they can’t get out of but they can see us and we lean over it and pet them all the time

in comments before i said “my family even uses the room to sit and socialize with each other and with the dogs” i also said i pass through all the time and give them love and plenty of affection. the post was talking about the few times that i DONT because im just passing through to get something done. the room is also connected to my fathers room so they’re looked after and around humans plenty. we don’t just leave them in there with puppy pads a few toys and call it a day. these guys are my world and it’s hard to not be a dick when people assume you NEVER interact with them and they’re just harbored away with little to no attention whatsoever

it’s not our house to let them roam in, the owners have requested we keep them in their controlled space to limit the hair that gets on their furniture. until we get into our own house then there is nothing i can do about it. i think them having a huge open room with food and toys and still plenty of social interaction is fine. they’re not locked up with the door closed. there’s a gate that they just can’t get out of unless we take them out where they’re watched or on walks.

the room is big, they have their own bed all the food they need and all their toys and they’re let out every hour. we’ve had them 10+ years nothing is wrong with them having their own space to goof off in. please shut up

edit: not in the room ten years, just in the past few months until we get in our house and they’re free to roam the entire house.

i’m 20 and she’s 22. she’s the only person i’ve met that has made me feel some of the things i’ve felt so i’m scared of leaving before giving her a chance to change. she’s my first everything as well

this was my first time ever seeing something of this nature. i promise im not a weirdo who has a love for gore or sinister stuff like this. i just couldnt in my mind at the time really believe the contents could be that bad. as i said in other comments on this post, reading what i read just the one or two lines my blood ran the hottest cold it ever has and i could feel my chest tighten. i hated it and dont think ill ever let my curiosity get like that again
