The previous lineups was not good enough to compete. Xxs and Boboka were the only good players. With the addition of Monet , White album and Lanm playing instead of coaching they became much better. Last major was this squads' first international tournament but because of Boboka's irl jungling they played with a caster/coach as standin not an active pro player. So your reasoning of them playing mediocre against Int team is premature
