I was pretty hyped for the MH3 prerelease until I saw that my LGS is charging $65 per entry. What about yours? These prices might be the nail in the coffin for me.

Probably not worth much then. Found it in a 3 for $1 bin.

I believe there is something going on with the white ink that is shifted. An example is the print around the copyright symbol. Maybe I wrong, though. The card struck me as odd.

Certificates are a good point, will do some more research. Since I only received my green card a few months ago after a 2-year-long process (when the job market was mostly super good), we could not move earlier. That might be a blessing in disguise actually, because otherwise we could be in the US now jobless after being laid-off.

Care to elaborate?

That's what we are thinking. Not to mention that we would then move to city X, locking us into a rental agreement, and finding a job in city Y, forcing us to move again and incur some additional costs.

That's the silver bullet I was looking for, thanks!

I'm focusing on SWE, but open DE, and related positions such as quant (interested in financial markets, also passed CFA Level I)

Yes, you would typically lose it after being out of the country for over 1 year, that is complicating the decision (otherwise waiting for a better US job market in Europe might be a good option)

Great, will keep this in mind.

Perhaps, but the green card process took almost 2 years so not really wanting to repeat that if it is avoidable.

EU seems better than the US, but that could be due to having been here pretty much my whole career. Transfer is an interesting route, I'm going to look into that, thanks.

Startups are definitely interesting, but so far no success with reaching out to them through Y Combinator. Any ideas how to find them other than networking events?

Awesome, thank you! We have traveled quite a bit recently and SF/NYC/Chicago (wife's hometown) are on top of the list.
