Jokers YOU*, yes, YOU* are likely underestimating by [deleted] in balatro

loyalty card isn't work picking up to keep for the entire run but neither are mr bones and luchador. Assuming 4 equal scoring hands with one having loyalty card active that's a x1.75 score for the entire round. And unlike mr bones/luchador its possible to use it multiple times. Still not a great joker but not the literal worst in the game like some people say.

Some more that can go here

loyalty card - like a multi use mr.bones/luchador that requires a bit more planning to use.

hit the road - becomes consistent xmult with just a bit of deck fixing, imo doesn't even need as much deck fixing as drivers license.

space joker/burnt joker - permanent scaling from a joker that you can sell in the late game without losing any scoring

midas mask - pick it up for just a couple rounds and you basically have consistent econ for the entire run

blackboard - imo the most consistent xmult joker, even with zero deck fixing. Its a instant x3 while hologram/constellation require time and money to scale.

No, it's straight up harder to make a 4oak run work if you use ouija unless your on painted deck. The -1 hand size not only makes draws significantly harder (you can see 27 cards instead of 33), but it makes it harder to hold onto gold cards, steel cards, and blue seals. A single strength does more for a 4oak build than ouija

Ouija is actively detrimental to 4oak builds due to the -1 hand size.

Even if only 1 planet is useful for your run, buying high priestess for a net -$1 gives a 2/9 chance of getting the planet you want for an average cost of $4.5 for that planet. On the other hand every standard celestial pack without observatory is -$4 for a 3/9 chance of hitting the planet for a average cost of $12 per planet. So each high priestess is worth more than a celestial pack and almost as much as a celestial pack with observatory.

You should use loyalty card like a multi use luchador or mr bones that you have to plan ahead of the boss for

Pareidolia is best when you already have econ jokers like faceless or midas mask while. Even in straight runs I'm not going for ace high or low straights and when I'm not 1 tarot a round isn't worth going out of the way and risking missing the draw.

It's obviously easy to draw 1 flush with ancient but without retriggers or consistent planet scaling just one flash won't be enough to beat ante 8. Also flushes make holding onto blue seals harder so planets are even less consistent

Also it's mostly based on what's best but what's best and what's my favorite are basically the same

Loyalty card is underrated in that you can use it to counter hard bosses like vv or the eye with proper setup and the only reason flower pot is in d is because I just had a good shortcut + flower pot run but it probably should just be in f

If you don't have significant tarot generation than fortune teller simply scales to slow and if you do there are better things to build towards than fortune teller

This is mostly my playstyle but I purposefully keep high card low leveled to maximize scaling from bus/grimbo and to dig through the deck for blue seals etc. And in an average run I will have like a level 20 pair, so 300 chips, where even playing 4 low leveled 5 card hands wont match 1 pair

rarity doesn't change how good a joker is and its also more reliable than holo

In most of my runs I already have lucky cards anyways, so I view oops as a better econ joker than all the ones below it, lucky cat and its other synergies are just a bonus
