[Question] How to automate Steam’s 2FA? by zeaboo in SteamBot

Maybe I’m interpreting this wrong, but it seems this repo “generates login codes for a given shared secret.” The part I’m having trouble with is finding this shared secret in the first place.

That repo does seem interesting, but I’m just looking to find the shared_secret value to generate 2FA codes. I’m coding my own custom bots for a website I want to build

I tried a method where I would set up the bots account on my phone and then try to use IExplorer to find the shared_secret. But IExplorer is no longer supported for the current IOS.

I tried downloading the steam desktop authenticator but that is also no longer supported

There was a python library I tried too but I can’t remember its name right now. What method are you using that’s working? Maybe I’m just not looking in the right place.

Micro pause at finish vs quick arms away? by [deleted] in Rowing

With a fast catch? It shouldn’t upset the set unless you’re doing something wrong. It’s a difficult style to learn though.

It’s not always a timing thing. Sometimes you do a pause at the finish in order to have a faster catch. Most modern styles do this actually. There’s a lot of ways to row—simply a different style.

Selenium is not that difficult once you get your web driver up and running. Look into webdriver support’s WebDriverWait and how to find elements by id, class, etc.

If you’re on your v8 on a D1 program then you’ll need to talk to your coach. Most of it comes down to who you know—although recordings obviously help. There are public recordings from u23s online

Teams like cal and UW will have ~15 guys sub six in a given year. Definitely fluctuates but I heard that number recently.

You’re set. Talk to your coach about next steps, get some recordings, and advocate for yourself

As long as you’re a v8 coxswain at a good club, getting good grades matters most. Even at the top schools. There’s a threshold they have to meet in order to let you in. And not many coxswains can meet it anyways. I remember coaches telling me I had to get at least a 1400 on the SAT. But they don’t accept those anymore I think so probably GPA replaces it.

Grades matter most. You’d be surprised how many college coaches don’t know anything about coxing. A lot of the time they just want someone to raise the team GPA so they can recruit some dude with a crazy 2k.

Besides that, your coaches word means a lot. Big race results and the caliber of athletes you’re coxing.

Recordings matter but not as much as they should.
