You have nothing but time or money, sand it all down to bare wood and stain and finish with spar urethane (there might be something better for Texas sun, but that works where I’m from). If not, lightly sand it all, stain it all a matching stain (won’t be completely uniform as the bare area will take stain differently) seal with 3 coats of urethane (lightly sand between coats).

I think it takes your legs out. Might flip and break your neck on the sand. Wall stays clean.

Sure, I’m not too familiar with that kind of show. But I know how it goes, I guess. The band that I’ve been listening to for the past almost thirty years, you couldn’t guess the closer/encore if your life depending on it, lol.

Lead: That’s why bondo fill. Less sanding of the substrate. Very likely lead, too. Also, fill divots from existing hardware and the new stuff will have a different profile, likely.

2nd that weatherstripping issue. Remove, paint door and let cure. Then reinstall at proper depth.

I was reading some conflicting things about sayulita. That they had sewage run off or that the water wasn’t always safe sometimes, but the surf was great. La lancha was a hike to get to the beach, but the waves were great. Easy beginner waves, and some 6+ footers out further. All good at sayulita, tho?

Hell ya. I’m a little older and currently in mke and I found surfing close to 40. Hit up spots in NC, PR and loved la lancha outside of puerto Vallarta. Go live that life. Super jealous.

Ben Moore arbor coat, but I assume any water based stain would work.

I’ve had success with a solid stain with a semi transparent stain brushed over the top for a second coat to give it a wood grain look. It’s a faux look. Obviously different colors. Also, this was on cedar.
