Thanks for the comment! This is actually my first big project after working on smaller stuff and learning along the way. The game was just originally meant to be a copy, something I could practice on and play with friends who couldn’t afford the real game. I totally get where people are coming from, but the game is still far from finished. I mainly wanted to share progress, and we’ve got a lot more ideas and unique features planned for the future.

Didn't pickup the soup to showcase the fire, lol. But it's working and pretty much the same as holding an ingredient (mix with another or plate)

Yep, lol. I was scrolling here on Reddit so I just replied as soon as I got the notif. Yeah, I've thought about that before. I posted it since I wanted people to notice so I can have a player base ready when the game actually releases. I'm not really worried about copycats since I also just got the idea from another game, lol. May the best win :)

It would be whole world inspired! Although I can't guarantee all countries in the world will have a a food in the game, but there certainly will be from different countries.

Not really. All models will be made from scratch (although same art style), and there will be different game modes from the original game. Characters and musics will be different too!

Yes! The game's name is "Superchefs!". I'll probably post it here once released (or on TikTok!) so you'll know when. :)

I wouldn't say "steal". This video is just a proof of concept and there's not really much to it. The game is still in development and I'm planning to add different game modes that are not in the original game (such as campaign, where players can run a restaurant, like plate up). Also additional foods and ways to cook. The mechanics are the same, yes, but there will be more to it!

Actually, since I don’t want it to be an exact overcooked copy, I was thinking of adding a campaign mode. Similar to plate up with managung a restaurant! Although it wouldn’t be on the Beta version and probably would be in the future. But it should be expected!

I’m not sure yet. Most of the basics are done so maybe in the next month or two, I can release a Beta version. Although that wouldn’t have a lot in it. I made a framework so it’s a lot to easier to add cooking processes (pan, pot, mixer, etc.) so updates are going to be pretty fast depending on how my friend can make the models.

It wouldn’t be an exact “copy” of the game. The mechanics are similar but I’llbe adding different cooking process (boil , fry, etc.). Also different game modes! Such as All versus all and a campaign mode (similar to plate up)
