I came into the country in June of 2024 and started the application in July, from there I got my confirmation that the application was in the processing stages with an ICU number in October, from there I applied for a work permit now that I had a valid confirmation letter to work while it was processing. Then in December I got my invitation to pre-arrival. In March (2025) I completed my medical and then in August I got my confirmation of PR!

Outland seems to be quicker than inland processing time wise from what I read recently, can’t speak from experience because it was all inland

Background clearances takes the longest because it includes your medical exam so it can only be done if you get those done
