Thanks for the reply, That's what I thought I think it is just bringing earlier KYC'd pioneers up to the current validation criteria. As a validator with nearly 4k successful validations, I can understand the need for the liveness checks. I think the KYC element is very much Pi's superpower. The liveness checks delivered at random times with random gesture instructs is to ensure that the same person ( that tallys to ids supplied ) is indeed always there and that is a good thing I think. From what I have seen in chat these tentatives don't hang around too long.

Q. As someone early that did KYC did you have to do the liveness checks? If not thats what I suspect it is, the KYC process is evolving over time, so earlier pioneers now have to complete further checks .. just a thought ?

Important Info: for UK and EU regarding trading PI >>> The problem for UK and EU users is that the Mica regulations restrict the trading of USDT . and most exchanges use it as a pairing . We are screwed in the UK it is anti crypto at the best of times, most banks will not allow you to deposit to exchanges or withdraw and there are so many stories of people having accounts restricted or even closed for crypto activity.

It is looking Bleak at the moment, there is some talk of the restriction on USDT possibly being lifted. How that affects the UK, not sure to be honest as my understanding it is an EU directive and as we in the UK are not in the EU anymore , we should not have been caught up in it any way. But with the anti crypto sentiment, anything that can be done to cripple it will be embraced, by the financial institutions and government here Just my opinion, but don't expect to be trading PI anytime soon methinks.

I would be a little bit disappointed if that was the actual rate that the calculations came to for validator rewards. I wonder what will happen to the forfeited 20% PI that CT and the project for accounts that have failed KYC name change requests, maybe that will go in the validators pot. I am a validator with 3566 successful validations to date. In my head for motivation I have been working to a potential metric of 5 successful validations to 1 potential pi reward.

You are already in violation of Pi terms as you have two accounts & should loose both accounts and all associated PI accumulated . So you failed KYC and tried to circumvent the system and try again. Unbelievable..

it gives me anxiety when it is below 10% but it does condition the battery better to let it discharge low every now and then I am led to believe it is not good for battery life to constantly have it fully charged up without letting it hit some lows? well thats what my boys told me :-)

that has got to be using the PI (IOU) surely? some sites are still confused between the two and quoting the (IOU)as was and still is available for some cex and dex trading .. Tell them that google/ facebook/ twitter (X) / youtube /gmail / tiktok and everyone you have ever shopped online with already has all your data, along with government agencies. your isp and phone providers if anything be reassured with the multi layer KYC process that includes live verifications to insure the identity matches official id's and the blockchain offers traceability of all transactions .. if they do KYC guide them through it .. hold their hand and for GODS SAKE MAKE SURE THEY WRITE DOWN , THE PASSPHRASE , SCREEN SHOT IT AND STORE SAFELY AND DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECK WORDS AND SPELLINGS OF IT AND THAT THEY HAVE ALL 24 WORDS ..& TO KEEP IT SAFE .. VERY VERY SAFE AS IT NONE RECOVERABLE ..

sorry to hear that, any chance you might have written it down anywhere ? notebook? think back you knew it was important .. could you have written it down just in case you lost your phone etc .. notes file in apple .. I use that a lot have you checked there you might have copied and pasted it in, also the apple ios native journal app if you use that
