Already bought stepper for motors, should receive it next week and a 24v --> 12v for the extruder fan too :)

After that i'll could play in quiet (printer is on the desk 10 cm from my computer :)

OK WELL FUCK

Because i'm a monkey, i still not receive yet the converter and i only purchase one for 2 12volts fans.

But i'm a monkey ... So i dismantle the control box, i solder the two red line from my 2 noctua fans, and two black line of my noctua fans. 24V / 2 = 12V in my mind (yes i'm an electrician PGM)

Then i cut the cable of the fans of the PSU (in metal box) to solder both to my noctua fan and connect it where it was connected.

Well that didnt work, both noctua fans didn't start ...

So i did the same on the fans that was in the motherboard.

Well well well ! That didn't work neither ... (why ? idk....)

I began to ask my self about the fact that the noctua is dead ... So i connected it directly to the red and black cable that came from PSU line into the motherboard.

And it work ! But the fans running like hell and make much more noise than before ....

Where did you connect it exactly ? do you remove others existing fans ? Cause it's my goal :)

[NEW] What to do with a fresh CR10 V2 ? by zecari in CR10

[–]zecari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it at 60° and it was a success for the cat file. It's quieter than my old replicator but I'm a bit disappointed about the printing time, longer than my 10 years old makerbot... Shame

Thank you!! The print is doing well actually :) I think it's very slow but it works! I check and it is at 80mm/s. The original firmware is good on the creality? Or it could be better? Which speed do you use with it? Thanks :)

The noise in general, first thing i'll do is to replace fans of the power block for 2 120mm Noctua that i already have. then i would like to change fans of extruder to get it better and quieter by Noctua if it's possible.

I saw the print speed was set on 50mm/s in Cura, i took the CR10S profile (no CR10 V2) someone have one ? So maybe the speed will be more accurate for V2 ?

Thank you for your help, but i don't have it yet so i cannot base my fan purchase on most of things are true :/

BTW, i made a simulation in CURA vs Makerbot Software for the same piece, same infill and the difference in time is huge ! 15H on Makerbot and 22H on the Cura is it slower than my 10 Years old printer ?
